Renai
I've been looking on and off for three weeks. Another few weeks won't hurt. I would like to have another car by January 15, because all the miles I'm putting on my car now (20 miles one way to church), and the upcoming miles to UNM, is going to do my car in. Ya'll are going to be so tired of hearing about my car shopping.

texasmama
I was just checking dealer prices on craigslist and found another Aveo. The dealer I was at earlier said he ran the bank price of the car on his lot and his price is $200 dollars lower ($3290). He also said he ran a check for the same car and didn't see one in that price point. Craigslist has one at a dealer, 2 years older, for $1950. Do prices really drop by that much in two years? I'm comparing a 2007 vs 2005. A change in body style will tank value, and that could be part of the issue.

Jean in Newcastle
Dd's birthday presents are all bought and locked down. Dh and I have dd's Christmas presents done. Dh has done one present for ds and plans to get him one more. (We are light on presents at Christmas) I have dh's presents done He told me that he has finished getting mine. (Which I guess means that the Christmas list he asked me to make him and that I haven't gotten around to is now a moot point. . . ) Dd has gotten one present for dh and I believe that ds has done that too. Woo hoo! (This is all stressful for me.)

Ellie
I'm looking at a 2003 Toyota Corolla now. Happy? Irrelevant question of the day: Why is the second "o" in "Corolla" pronounced as a long o and not a short o? Phonics and spelling would say short o (a vowel followed by two consonants usually says its short sound). I think about this because my maternal grandfather was born in Corolla, North Carolina, a little bitty town on the Outer Banks, where "Corolla" is pronounced properly (and we can tell who the tourists are by the way they say it, lol). That is all. Oh, hope the car works out for you. :hat:
