Heather in OK
I'm in a Tulsa suburb and it was $1.79 when I was out yesterday afternoon.
Mergath
$2.05 a gallon here in central MN.
creekland
It's $2.05 where my in-laws live in VA. That's 34 cents less than what we pay in our area of PA. :glare: Fortunately, we knew to gas up here, but we still had to GET here. One has to wonder if the difference is ALL gas tax or what... Arcadia
I didn't know what was the gas price so on the way home yesterday from a further library, it average $2.89 at Chevron and Shell stations along the way in south bay area, California. It was over $3 recently.

mamaraby
$2.35 in the dairyland - it's a bit like finding extra money.
creekland
I decided to look up my own gas tax question. Right now, CA wins as the highest (congratulations!). Soon we will be right up there with you (but not beating you) when ours goes up 9 cents/gallon on Jan 1st. We'll be in 2nd place, taking that position from NY, after our increase (if no other state also increases theirs). :glare: The difference between PA and VA is 24+ cents - hardly the whole 34 cent difference we're seeing IRL. I wonder what causes the extra? http://taxfoundation.org/blog/map-state-gasoline-tax-rates-2014

Farrar
I've seen everything from 2.19 to 2.89 in the last week or so. It can vary a lot in the city versus which suburb. So much cheaper.
blondeviolin
I'm pretty sure we are still over $3 a gallon here and will be until the gas purchased and shipped at that price is used up. Not down my way. I saw gas at Tikahtnu for $2.88 yesterday!
