happypamama
Thank you, Hive, for introducing me to this! I'm partway through the second book and just started the second season, and I can't decide if I like the show or the book better! What a delightful bit of fun! I've laughed and cried and cooed and cheered for the home breech birth and the kangarooed preemie. I can't wait until my DD is old enough -- she will adore it. Also, Noakes is going on my list of Great TV Husbands, along with Ben Wyatt and Jim Halpert. I love how supportive he is of Chummy.
AndyJoy
I love both the books and show too! Catching up on it together is one of the things I love to do with my mom when I get to see her. I'm going to get Season 3 when it comes out on the 20th and take it with me when I visit her in June.
Starr
I love this show but no one at my house will watch it with me. :D
indigomama
I love it too! In fact it was the last nudge I needed to enroll in school, on my long road to hopefully being a midwife one day! I need to get the books, maybe I'll treat myself for Mother's Day, since my husband will be at work all day :tongue_smilie:
alisoncooks
I love the show! When I first discovered it a few months ago, I watched episodes non-stop for several days until I was through all of them...
Farrar
I've really been enjoying the season airing now on PBS. One of the things I like most about the show, I think, is that no matter how annoying the character seems at first, they always bring me around to like them. G5052
I love it too, and so do several of my younger friends who are in their 20's. I think that it is so well done.
Pippen
I love the show but I never adored her character and I'm okay with her leaving. The cast is so strong that I think it can survive shifting the lens wider instead of focusing on her.
FriedClams
Love love love love it!! (My BFF calls me Chummy - we could be twins - right down to the whole scouting thing!! LOL!!)
Just Kate
Read the book? Watch the show? Which one should I do?
zoobie
Read the book? Watch the show? Which one should I do? Both! (And there are 3 books--I've gotten the second 2 when they went down to $1.99 on Kindle.
Heather in Neverland
I am glad to read this because I downloaded season 1 and watched the first two episodes and I'm not sold on it yet. I think I will watch a few more now.
Kathryn
I love the show! When I first discovered it a few months ago, I watched episodes non-stop for several days until I was through all of them... DH and I did this also and finished a few weeks before the new season started in America. I was going to watch it online, but DH wanted to wait to watch them as they come out on PBS. I did cheat and read what happens though. And the books are certainly worth reading also. My library had all three.
Jamee
If you're a fan of Chummy, Miranda Hart actually had her own show prior to this. It is HILARIOUS! It's not for kids, and the humor is more on the adult side, but she is so good. You can watch it on Hulu.
