Who had a Huffy bike while growing up? What was the style name? I had a Cactus Flower.

I loved that bike! DH and I were talking about it and he had a Santa Fe.

I think mine was a Huffy...I KNOW that the model was "Daisy" and it had a white plastic basket on the front that had plastic daisies on it. :D I wonder if it's in any of our old photos....

I think I had Sweet Pea. It was yellow and lime green, with a banana seat with a pea pod on it.

Not only do I still have one, but I did some 60+ mile bike rides on my single-speed Huffy last summer ;)

Pretty sure I had a Schwinn. Purple. Later I graduated to a 10-speed and got a Panasonic.

 

I don't think I'd even heard of Huffy until after I had dc.

I inherited an orange one with a banana seat from my brother. Of course, back then, girls weren't required to be all pink.

 

My brother also had a Green Machine.  Remember those? They were kind of like a recumbent bike. And a way cool Big Wheel that I inherited and loved.  I remember pulling the handbrake to try and spin.

I loved those baskets. Mine didnt have one, but friends' bikes did.

I had a Schwinn. My dad worked for Schwinn for close to 20 years. We never, ever had Huffys.   :lol:  Mine was purple with white stars, streamer handles, and had a white banana seat with silver stars.  I had a basket too, but I don't recall the design.

I always wanted a banana seat bike!  I never got one, but I did have one of these awesome Honda Kick 'n Go Scooters.  Good times.  :001_smile:  And it's still in my parents' garage.

Mine was a Huffy.

 

I don't know the model name, but the bike's name was Golden because it was really a horse, a golden palomino with a flowing mane and tail. ;)

I had one of the red mono-shocks. Crazy. 

I had one with a plastic "gas tank", but it wasn't the Wild Fire...I don't see it. I think there's a photo of it somewhere...the mono-shock, too. (I had a lot of bikes over the years...)
