  1. I finally switched to Fiesta a few months ago. I LOVE them. I'd been thinking about it for a while, but when I realized that one of the colors that I liked was retired, I knew that I couldn't wait any longer https://flic.kr/p/Nevo1v
  2. After bathing and treating our cats and house, I started giving this to our cats once a month. It's been 2 years. Haven't seen another flea. petsneedmeds 2 in 1 oral monthly FLEA control for Cats
  3. On Wednesday, some local players talked to the city and reserved part of one of the local parks for Saturday night. (lots of Pokestops and gyms there) By Saturday, they had Radio Shack on board to set up a table with charging stations (and discounts on portable chargers). A local pizza place donated 20 large pizzas (and another 10 to the team that won the gym contest). Another local store gave them a great deal on a sound sytem rental. They had free water for everyone and beaded necklaces (blue, red and gold of course) for all. It was great fun. It didn't hurt that the weather was amazing. They had lures going on all of the stops from 5:30-9:00. They're hoping to do this several more times this summer. Everyone had a great time. My legs hurt today, but I took a bike ride and that helped. (had to try out my cell phone bike mount...it was great) ;)
  4. Here's a look at what's going on in La Crosse. http://www.wxow.com/story/32430360/2016/07/12/new-reality-show-puts-la-crosse-in-the-spotlight?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_WXOW
  5. DD & I downloaded it tonight. We've got a Pokestop on the other side of the block and 2 Gyms in the next block.
  6. We've been happy with this one. undated student organizer
  7. Pokemon has been the best thing ever for dd. She's been playing for about 1.5 years. She goes to the local game shop 1-2 times a week to play. She's made friends there, and usually spends Sundays with them. To play, he'll need a deck. When first getting started, it's best to just go with a premade deck. If you look on amazon, look for "theme deck". The most recent release is "Break Through". If you go to http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/play-online/ and click "download and start playing", he can play against the computer or others, and learn the game. This helped dd a lot at the beginning.
  8. I've got this one and love it. I first picked it up to use on a train trip, since I knew we'd have limited outlets available. USB charger
  9. You're not officially Minnesotan until you've made it through a winter. A real winter. Snow, blizzards, double-digit below zero temps. Have fun. :D
  10. My daughter and I were in Portland for 8 days in May. I downloaded the TriMet app and used that instead of buying tickets. Loved it.
  11. trimet.org/fares/index.htm The MAX is faster. We took that in May when we were in Portland and wanted to visit friends in Beaverton.
  12. We have taken Amtrak from WI to WA and/or OR several times. Sometimes we ride in coach, sometimes we have a room. After having trouble in coach with my backpack being to big to easily put it on the shelf above my seat, I discovered the Embark Jartop backpack at Target. All 3 of us have them now. They fit up top and because of how they open, they're easy to set on the floor and find things. We also pack a feather pillow in a jersey pillowcase (because it's stretch) and then put a fleece blanket inside that. Because they were on sale, we ended up with king-size pillowcases. This worked out great, as we couldjust gather the end and hold it easily. Bring headphones. Especially if you're in coach, watch the volume of them so as to not disturb others. Hoodies. The train temp can change drastically. They're also good for blocking the lights when sleeping.
