Berta
I tip everyone, they really appreciate it. I have been known to leave a few six packs of beer out for the garbage men, they loved it.
Georgiana Daniels
I've never tipped furniture delivery. Hmmm... But your Schwans guy...definitely tip him :P
Joker
I tip furniture delivery guys if they have to do a lot of set up. I didn't tip those who just dropped off our couches and plopped them into place. I did tip those who delivered and set up bunk beds and those who brought our washer and dryer. They had to take out the old, bring in the new, and set them up in a tight place.
G5052
I almost always tip as long as they don't damage anything, clean up after themselves, and are polite. But if they ding the wall because they weren't paying attention, leave packing stuff behind, and are nasty, forget it.
umsami
I usually have cold/hot drinks available depending on the season. As it's the holidays, I might tip…or even offer up a gift card to Subway or McDonald's or something and say let me buy you guys lunch. Catwoman
I'm like Berta. I tip everybody.
kroe1
Yes, always tip a delivery guy of any type, I.e. Pizza, flowers, furniture, appliances.
plansrme
I'm like Berta. I tip everybody. Yep. I figure the money means more to them than to me. Tips have always been gratefully received, and even if it is just dropping a fridge or sofa off, there is always extra care to be careful of my floors and doors. jrn
Dh was in the service industry and truly was thankful for all the tips he had gotten over the years. He's gotten everything from a dollar to Packer tickets.
Violet Crown
No harm in a fiver for the guys to split. OTOH, I didn't tip the Lowes guys who brought my new stove. It was a 5 minute delivery of a very small stove; since they couldn't hook up the gas (state law), they didn't slide it into the cut-out; and they left the assembly of the racks for me to do. By the time I finished setting it up, I kind of felt they should have tipped me.
Harriet Vane
Yes. I usually give $5 per guy.
Alicia64
Now I feel awful. We had a queen sized bed delivered -- not set up, just delivered -- and we didn't even think of tipping. Sometimes I think the tipping culture has gotten a little out of hand. . . Alley
