Pamela H in Texas
I don't know why my head won't find this word! What is is called when you take an item and transform it? Like, you have a plain dresser and you redo it so the drawers pivot out rather than just slide out, decorate it to fit in a pirate room, add spice racks to the side for attached book storage, etc? That wasn't my idea though it sounds pretty interesting. LOL I want to take something plain and make it cool. But I don't really have any ideas so want to look online (google or pinterest). I know I saw a whole blog or something with such ideas. If I could just remember the word for when you do this. I think it is often done to cars? Any idea what I'm talking about? Ellie
New reality TV show? "Pimp My Thrift Store Find"? You get brownie points for properly putting the question mark outside the quotes.
Pamela H in Texas
Cool, thanks :) I don't want to repurpose (like the dresser would still be a dresser, right?), just "deck it out."
5of5
As Rebecca VA said, for cars, it is called "detailed".

Tammi K
I've seen 'hack' used on the internet. You can search for Ikea Hacks, for instance and get all types of ideas for furniture re-makes.
