Joe started out with describing a scene from King Lear where he was mourning over his beloved daughter and HOWLING in pain and anguish that he will never see her again. Today he reminded us that we are not "Howling People - we are Alleluia People because we know we will live again!!" So, do not howl in pain about death and the sin of the world, but cry Alleluia in joy because we are redeemed and saved!!! I love Fr. Joe. He's an old and very happy New York/Bronx guy with a great sense of humor and a deep love of the reality of God and living the gospel.
