ProudGrandma
My MIL loves flavored teas and I would like to get her a nice assortment or something similar, but was wondering if anybody here had a great, unique idea for me. Thanks.
SailorMom
What about one of those mugs that has the tea infuser built in.... There are many - and many styles, but here is one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00117XFGC/ref=asc_df_B00117XFGC1809347?smid=A2LGMOPTM2808C&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395105&creativeASIN=B00117XFGC
Belacqua
Not unique, as they sell it at the grocery store, but are you familiar with roasted green tea? It has a really lovely, unusual taste that's quite different from the fruity tisanes. The one I usually get is Bancha Hojicha. Also, rooibos (or bush tea) is quite interesting. Alte Veste Academy
Do you need suggestions for tea or accessories? I personally love tea-for-one sets. This one is my favorite. :) My favorite teas are Zhena's Gypsy and Tazo. I also really like Mighty Leaf but their flavors are either reeeeaaaally good or :ack2: to me, so I'd be careful with a ML sampler. Oh, my current favorite tea for fall is from Stonewall Kitchen. Their Orange Cranberry tea is delightful!

KungFuPanda
I'm assuming she has a teapot, so it is my professional (not really) opinion that you should get her an assortment of flavored teas http://www.adagio.com/flavors/index.html?SID=4283fd305a6d285ba5b8d3ae6d94c47b A water boiler And something to strain the leaves

Jann in TX
I LOVE a good cup of hot tea. (I'm happily married so stop with the dirty thoughts)... For gifts I like to give assortments from Stash Tea or The Republic of Tea. I recently gave this assortment from the Republic of Tea to my bestest friend who I met through these boards... she loved it. I like getting assortments as gifts over a container of a flavor that I may or may not like. Last Christmas DH gave me an assortment of expensive loose tea--but I HATED the fact that it was too fine for my infusers. I recently purchased some paper tea filters and they are awesome! I add in as much tea as desired, then put a clip (the one I have is called a TEA CLICK and looks like one of dd's barrettes)... I'm now enjoying last Christmas's gift! aggieamy
Harney and Sons Cinnamon Tea is fantastic. It's not an assortment but that's okay because you'll love that one flavor. :001_smile:
OrganicAnn
I like tea bags that are individually wrapped in foil. They are usually more expensive than just a box of tea bags. I also love those tea bags that look like pyramids. We have loose tea, but really don't use it too much unless we have a tea party. There must be lots of tea on-line that you can buy. http://www.teaforte.com/store/gourmet-tea/tea-collections/?gclid=CJHHuPK27KwCFQrHKgodBw0rIw Sometimes TJ Maxx has interesting teas. KungFuPanda
These are pretty, in bags, and don't cost a million dollars: http://www.mightyleaf.com/tea-pouches/?cm_mmc=cj-_-tp-_-text-_-aff-link If you want to venture into loose tea, you might want this: Just make sure it's stainless steel. Oh my! This is so cute! I have a great box from Container Store for storing a variety of wrapped tea bags. Here's a link: http://reviews.containerstore.com/1626/10005593/tea-bag-storage-container-reviews/reviews.htm I like Bigelow brand tea esp Cinnamon Stick also: Earl Grey, Jasmine Green and Cranberry Apple. It's pretty easy to find in stores for putting together a variety. When we've given tea we've done one type of black, one of green and one herbal. link: http://www.bigelowtea.com/Type.aspx?topid=
Kareni
Last Christmas DH gave me an assortment of expensive loose tea--but I HATED the fact that it was too fine for my infusers. I recently purchased some paper tea filters and they are awesome! We use t-sacs and loose tea. One advantage is that after making tea, one can compost the t-sac and used tea.
