C_l_e_0..Q_c
You know, that cold air from Canada that we export to the States every winter? Could we get some of it back? 109F today in Montreal, when taking into account the humidity. (91 without, so it's a LOT of humidity...) snickelfritz
dh is in Quebec right now. He called before dinner and was sunburned and sweaty.
Audrey
It's coming. We're still using it out West here. We had that heat wave a couple of days ago. Some thunderstorms have cooled it off again. For now.
LaxMom
We made it warm and steamy for you. Were we not supposed to? You didn't send directions with it.

Parrothead
We are supposed to be getting some of it back on Sunday. My new mantra is, "The trees will be turning in three weeks. The trees will be turning in three weeks."

WishboneDawn
We've missed most of the heatwave here in NS but it's hot and humid so far today. I rather wish our cold spring would make another appearance.
C_l_e_0..Q_c
there were major thunderstorms last night, and although it cooled off, I'm still complaining this morning! We're already at 91 with humidex. And it's not even 8 in the morning. Those downtown have to add almost 10 degrees too. I'm in the suburb with lots of parks, plenty of trees to counteract the heat. Argh! Edited July 22, 2011 by CleoQc
ErinD
I hear you, Cleo! It was 30 Celsius at 7am today outside my kithen window. Blech. (But it still beats shoveling!)

Would you like to come here for a visit? :001_smile: We have had mostly wet and cold weather on the West coast and are longing for some sun. We've been lucky if the temperature has reached 22C, and most days are between 17C - 20C. The forecasters keep saying it's going to warm up, but when ......????
Melinda in VT
(But it still beats shoveling!) But I can bribe, demand, or pay my kids to shovel so I don't have to. I can't bribe them to take the heat for me.
Whereneverever
We're hogging in in Wyoming. ;) It's nice here- 85 (29 C) with a quick breeze and a clear sky.
C_l_e_0..Q_c
Would you like to come here for a visit? yes! Cleo will go visit Cleopatra! Sounds good to me. After all, Cleo is short for Cleopatra. I already feel a kinship with you!
Meriwether
We never received it. USPS must have lost it or delivered it to the wrong country :D Here I was thinking our air conditioner (Canada) was broken. The only benefit to moving farther north is cooler summers. Well, and not having to deal with chiggars.
chiguirre
Not to rub it in, but it's a very nice day in Houston. It rained and now it's just mid 90s. Maybe we can ship some north?
Aelwydd
It was 91 degrees F here-- at 12 midnight last night. :glare: We've had more than 25 days over 100º this summer, and we still have August to go [crying]. I'm pretty sure the ground here is so baked dry, you could use it as a pizza stone.
Rebecca VA
I was in your beautiful city this week, Cleo! We were part of a tour of Quebec City, Montreal, and the Gaspe Peninsula. We saw the free Cirque du Soleil show on Tuesday evening. I'm totally in love with Quebec! The weather was utterly gorgeous. It rained yesterday morning on the way to the Montreal Airport, but I suppose I missed the hot, hot weather. Oh, well -- there's plenty of it here in Virginia.
