Hunter's Moon
what time will you start watching? My 8-year-old is so excited! We don't want to miss the first glimpse of the dress! I believe it starts at 6 here on the East Coast. I will probably be waking at 3 though for BBC coverage :leaving:
MariannNOVA
I will start watching at 5:45 probably. I've read quite about about how various design houses are poised for the gown reveal. It has been fascinating. I do remember that before the ceremony was over for Diana and Charles, someone already had a knock off of her gown made. Heather in OK
I have my DVR set for the 3am showing on BBCA plus a couple other specials they are doing on Friday. Since I have to work Friday from 11-3 and want to watch it with the kiddos so we're waiting until late afternoon/evening. :)
Hunter's Moon
Tigersgrowl-what station are you watching it on that it is starting at 6? I'm still trying to figure this all out. BBCA starts coverage at 3am, but I'm on the east coast and they will be live so here, the actual wedding should begin at 6 am since it starts at 11 am there. No clue what will be happening 3am-6am on BBC. Time zones confuse me :glare:
Stacia
I thought the ceremony itself would be at 5 a.m eastern time. TV coverage will start at 3 a.m. eastern time. Dd & I are planning to start watching at 3.

staceyobu
So, if the wedding starts at 5am eastern, that is 3am central? I really want to sleep as long as possible without missing anything! Or should I just stay up all night...
HappyCrazyMama
We are planning on starting to watch at 2 am Pacific Standard Time :svengo:. The schedule of events PST (according to The Seattle Times) - http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/reweb/2014777283_how_early_will_you_wake_up_to_watch_the_royal_wedding.html I think I will just nap on the couch.:001_huh:
Mom in High Heels
We are one hour AHEAD of British time (GMT), so we don't have to get up early!!! The wedding itself will be at noon our time. Huzzah! I remember getting up really early for Charles and Diana's wedding (I was 8) and I'm so glad I won't have to do that again!
Prairie~Phlox
I'm setting my dvr and will watch it when I want!
Rebecca VA
What would be a good website to watch it on? We don't have cable, and our TV channels come in poorly.

Or should I just stay up all night... Central time is one hour behind eastern. So if the wedding starts as 5 am Eastern, it would be 4 am Central, assuming your state is on Daylight Savings Time. CNN? We are planning to set our DVR to record the wedding mainly, but we're trying to decide which channel will be the best. We're in your same time zone BTW. HappyGrace
So I see that the major stations start COVERAGE at 4 a.m., but is that just talking, etc., or is that the procession to the church and the wedding starts at 5 a.m., or what? Just sayin'-I don't want to get up at 4 a.m. just to hear them chatting for an hour when I could be sleeping, but I also don't want to miss the procession to the church. Mommee & Baba
I have my DVR set. My dd's and I will be dressing up, sipping on warm tea, nibbling on fresh fruit muffins for breakfast while watching the wedding that we DVR'ed. We've got some crafts planned as well as some other fun activities!
Crissy
I love my sleep. :iagree: Later in the day I'll tune into some news station or another long enough to get a peek at her dress. The rest doesn't really interest me.
