Our ahma (who is Indian and born into a hindu family) became a christian a few years ago (before we met her). However, her dh does not "allow it" so she had to practice her faith in secret. And her 2 teenage daughters (ages 17 and 19) were following their father's hindu religion. She asked us to pray that her dh and her daughters would come to faith in Christ. This is her one greatest wish. We have only met her daughters twice and one of the times was for Natalie's first birthday where I gave a testimony of God's faithfulness to us in sending Natalie to our family which made a big impression on them. We have not "prosyletized" in any way with these girls or their father. We have simply just loved on them and helped them through some very tough times (with the dad still unable to work after his accident). The daughters have commented often to their mother about "that nice christian family you work for." Well, over the weekend, her daughters finally went to church with her (her dh did not know) and they accepted Christ!!!! They said they were drawn to the faith and love they saw in us and wanted to know more about "this Jesus". In addition, they (all 3 of them) told the father the truth...that they are all now christians and going to church. He wasn't thrilled but he was not angry either and has said he won't stop them. This is a MAJOR change in him. My ahma tells him every day how many of us are praying for him and he always asks "why? why would they pray for me and they don't even know me?"
