Mrs Mungo
Do you have shoes in one of those colors? Shoes would be the deciding factor for me. :)
fairfarmhand
the shoes are black!!

Gooblink
I like yellow or lime-green - they seem more spring-like. :)
TheCoffeeChick
red or pink - I made an apron that was black with white poka-dots edged in pink and it's really cute. But I also really like red shoes with black and white.
Lawana
it's for me....I am 31. And it will be a sleeveless summer dress. (if that matters.) I might avoid red in order to not remind people of Minnie Mouse. A really strong pink or lime green would be my two choices.
JudoMom
I would pick lime green. For me, the pink would seem too young and the red would seem too old and the yellow would seem too bumblebee-ish.
Mrs Mungo
the shoes are black!! Can you go buy red shoes? :D It would have such a great forties vibe that way.

2cents
I'd do a yellow but not bright, maybe more a light merigold. :)

That's a good point. But, pink would feel too young to me with dots. Lime green would be a good choice.

Mrs Mungo
would a dress like this be too "wintery" for easter? No, my eldest wore a black and white polka dot dress with red shoes for Easter last year. :)

fairfarmhand
In case anyone wants to know... I am merging several different patterns A line skirt flaring from the waist, boat neckline, sleeveless...the neckline and armholes trimmed with colored piping...maybe some colored tulle trim peeping out from under the skirt. I'll be doing a grosgrain ribbon sash tied in the front;

I get weird when I am planning a dress...I lay awake last night figuring it out but I couldn't decide on the contrast color. So I thought I'd ask the hive. FaithManor
I prefer pink and would love a dress like that. DD would adore the lime green or the red; she'd lean more towards the lime green. Faith

jujsky
I'm making a black skirt with white dots for DD & I'm trimming it in pink. It was an easy decision -- I'm making the skirt to go with a sweater my MIL bought her. Any of the colors you mentioned would work well.
