Ginger
Does Santa mix the gifts for everyone all together, or does he set them up in neat little piles according to who they are for? Santa mixes them all up here. But at my inlaws, he puts them in piles, and in each pile each gift is wrapped in the same paper so that you know all those gifts go to the same person. Parrothead
Used to be in a great tumbling pile that spilled out into the room. Back when dd was littler and the boxes bigger. Now the boxes are smaller and dd is bigger. It is still tumbled together but not spilling out into the middle of the room.
lionfamily1999
Different wrapping paper for different recipients. The gifts look jumbled, but are actually carefully laid out so there that wherever you turn there is a gift for each person and Santa is very careful to make sure the smaller gifts (or less exciting gifts) are together to avoid gift envy :glare:
lisabelle
Santa puts them wherever they will fit! Now that ds is older and the gifts tend to be smaller, mostly Santa stuffs them into the stocking with candy.
ScoutTN
Santa gifts are unwrapped here. Left neatly arranged under the child's stocking. Things for both are left in the middle of the hearth, between their two stockings or spread out nearby.
elise1mds
Santa gifts are wrapped here, but they are all mixed up and stuffed everywhere. Our biggest dilemma is the six cats who think ribbon is for eating... and then throwing up.
JoyfulMama
Here the gifts are wrapped. He usually rearranges any gifts already under the tree, and puts the larger gifts all the way in the back, so you have to open the others before you get to them. :D
smrtmama
No wrapping, but each child has an area near the tree where his/her gifts are artfully arranged. If a gift is for children to share, it'll either be arranged between their piles or have a little tag on it.
mathmom
Santa brings one gift to each child and hides it. He leaves different clues for each kid.
LibraryLover
They are wrapped and put in your stocking, which is hung at the fireplace. If it doesn't fit in your stocking, it is set beneath it.
BeckyFL
They are not in any order except that bigger gifts are towards the back (and sometimes the biggest gift for each is in a closet for the very end).
Dawn in OH
Our Santa is a bit mental. "He" arranges gifts as to how they best fit under the tree (largest in the back), and no two gifts wrapped in the same paper too close to each other, smallest gifts (usually) in the front. Each child usually gets a main gift, it's either the more expensive gift or something that's really great, and those are usually near the back so that it is saved until near the end of gift opening. Paintedlady
Santa mixes them up at our house. That way the kids have to hunt and peck through the pile to figure out who's is who's. :tongue_smilie:
Ellie
Santa mixes them all up here. That's how he does it here, too. :-)
Matryoshka
Gifts from family and friends are under the tree and are opened on Christmas Eve. Stockings are hung on the fireplace and opened Christmas morning, along with one out-of-stocking (wrapped) Santa gift left on the hearth. My kids no longer believe in Santa but I don't think that's going to change anytime soon... :tongue_smilie:
OnTheBrink
Different paper for each recipient. Dd usually gets a frilly, girly pink paper and ds gets something more manly.
RoughCollie
When the kids were younger, the wrapped gifts were in individual piles. Stockings were at the foot of their beds so they could have them when they woke up. Gifts from Santa that were meant to be shared were put under the tree, unwrapped and ready to play with. Now that they are teens, we have a lot fewer presents (because they are a lot more expensive) and everything goes under the tree.
Laura Corin
Santa only fills stockings here. Each stocking usually has a book, a small toy, an orange and some chocolate. All presents under the tree come from a named person. Laura
thescrappyhomeschooler
Each individual does not have his own wrapping paper, but gifts are separated in piles for each person.
