KC in KS
In case you haven't noticed, there are 3,518 PAGES of posts. He noticed. Now he wants to ask: "If these people have this much time to post, who's schooling the kids?!":lol::lol:
Murphy101
Doesn't he know we are all super women?
Jean in Newcastle
Also - those 3,518 pages happened over time . . . not necessarily as long a time as you would expect since this board moves pretty quickly, but it did happen over time!
Granny_Weatherwax
Wait until he sees how many posts some members have. Just remember to tell him - "It takes time. A lot of time."
Jean in Newcastle
Wait until he sees how many posts some members have. Just remember to tell him - "It takes time. A lot of time." Hey I resemble that! Just tell him that some of us have an addiction but compared to us, you're a saint! And yes, my children are still getting an education. . . I think! seibert4kids
You could tell him....Well, the more you post on the chat forums, the less you'll spend on the for sale forums! And this is "teacher education", like the public school educators have their "professional" days :001_smile:
Jean in Newcastle
Did you realize that you got above me in the post count? Congratulations, you are now second! Am I? Uh- oh. . . I bet your kids are better educated. . .:D
Night Elf
1. This is where I talk to other adults. Talking to kids all day is um.. um.. well, yeah. 2. As my children get older, they need me less, and I have more free time than when they were in the earlier grades. 3. This is where I talk to other adults. Talk... oh wait, I covered that one already. 4. I prefer being here to cleaning the house. :)
asta
1. 2. As my children get older, they need me less, and I have more free time than when they were in the earlier grades. I spend a lot of time just sitting next to Aspie boy saying things like "don't use 3 lines for that equation, one number, a line, the second number". "Yes, I know you hate this subject, you have to do it anyway". That doesn't take "active instruction", just sitting there "overseeing". Hence, way too many posts and book reading and too little house cleaning (which takes me out of the room). a
Rosie_0801
Our husbands would short circuit themselves if we spoke to them this much. Rosie P.S To answer Mr OP's question, I have toddlers. School takes about 20 mins a few days a week. Edited May 12, 2010 by Rosie_0801
joannqn
I'm often stuck on the couch with a nursing baby, and my kids can be quite independent with most of their school work when I need them to be.
CAMom
Our husbands would short circuit themselves if we spoke to them this much. Rosie  Yeah, they should be grateful we don't use all of our words on them!;)

Peela
Well, I admit guilt, and your husband has a point. There has been more than one time I have come here to escape my homechooling responsibilities. I can always excuse it of course. Its a HOMESCHOOLING message board- I tell my family frequently- I learn lots here. But, my family know better.:lol:
elegantlion
Did you realize that you got above me in the post count? Congratulations, you are now second!:lol: Just don't look at your average post count per day. (5th) I tell dh it's all research so I can help make his precious son smarter.
