KLynnTX
My dd is 9, and I need ideas....I am trying to stay away from junk....so far, we have a bike, and a webkinz schnauzer...She loves anything crafty, but don't necessarily limit your answers to crafty stuff.....Wondering if anyone has any great ideas? You know what peeves me? I've looked HARD for the last few years for a see saw. I really wanted to get my two youngest a see saw. Couldn't find one anywhere. Now, this year, as they are probably getting too old for one, I find one!!!! (At Academy, by the way!!) Anyway, anyone have any creative ideas? She's mentioned wanting to get her My Twinn doll new hair, but how would I make that a surprise? Just wrap a certificate stating we are sending her in for a new do?!?! KidsHappen
24 yr old. - Clothes, book and PJs 18 year old - Snow Globe, books and PJs 16 Year old - Dishes, books and PJs 13 year old - Boots, books and PJs 10 year old - Art Set, books and PJs SILs are gettting - DVDs, books and PJs Hubby - Jacket, books and PJs Me - Cd/alarm clock. books and PJs I will also mention that a couple kids are getting other things that are really more for my benefit than their own. Their own tool sets so they quit stealing mine and losing all the pieces and one is getting a space heater because she keeps taking the one out of my bathroom or turning the thermostat up to 75. My whole family pitched in and bought me a dryer for my birthday and my hubby made arrangements to have someone to install my bathroom tiles. So this year I really made out a lot more than everyone else and probably more than all the gifts I ever got (combined before).

creekmom
My dd (8) loves crafty things also. I found rolled paper beads for her this year (it comes with precut paper in pretty designs, a rolling tool and instructions for how to make the beads). She loves to make clothes for her dolls, and I found the coolest design studio set at the Discovery Store. It comes with a 3D doll figure, swatches of fabric etc. so they feel like an actual clothes designer! For her birthday, she LOVED the Klutz paper fashion designs. I also got her a pretty "portfolio" - (blank paper journal at Walmart) so she could glue all her pretty outfits on the pages. More ideas - Michaels has Shrinky Dinks, CVS has some great crafty gifts at low prices - I saw Bendaroos there and a neat foiling craft. I was surprised at how many cool gifts were at CVS that weren't at the major retailers like Target - lots of Discovery Store toys!
