Dawn in OH
We only have 3 kids but that reminded me very much of our vehicle and seating arrangement ordeals over the past two years. That was great.
Caraway
Loved this. We only have two children, but my husband is convinced that the answer to all of our problems is the Dodge Sprinter. :001_huh:
bbsweetpea
That is funny. It reminds me of my own daily challenge. Can't have big sister and brother next to each other but baby girl has to be where I can get her in and out. What if a friend tags along? LOL There really should be a guide to this kind of challenge. Reya
Enjoy! http://righttomyopinion.blogspot.com/2009/07/regarding-transportation-complication.html Your kids are adorable! I've had 5 booster-and-under kids in my minivan more than once. "Interesting" would be the word. They fit, but seatbelts in the back row are problematical. Loupelou
That is an awesome post, and super cute kids too! My dh keeps commenting on the Dodge Sprinter too, talk about UGLY! We moved into a full size van after #6 when dh could no longer hitch a ride with us!:D
OhM
Ha! Loved the relational complications! But I was disappointed he didn't share the solution to the puzzle. Now I'm going to have to figure it out myself or it will bother me all day! (INTJ, you know.)

RegGuheert
Our fifth child was "undiagnosed twins"! Imagine our surprise when we realized we went from 6 to 8 people in one day, thereby surpassing the seating capacity of our minivan. Solve THAT puzzle without purchasing a new minivan! We did!

RegGuheert
A bench seat for the middle row instead of two captains.A winner! You can't get anything past homeschooling moms! We picked up a 3-person bench seat at a junkyard and put it in the middle row, for a total of eight seats. It's a tight squeeze to get into the back, but we keep the middle seat as forward as possible. Of course now we have nine, but we still have the minivan for those trips with less than the full crew. Re: twins, we found out at our 20 wk ultrasound that we were expecting twins, but in our case, it was from 1 child to 3. That was an amazingly scary surprise :D!It's funny because after having four we thought we had raising kids down pat. Ha! Our twins added in a healthy dose of humility. :tongue_smilie:
