  1. My heart is breaking for your family. I am so sorry for your loss, and I want to thank you for sharing precious Nathaniel with all of us.
  2. Praying for lung strength, and hoping that you all had a good day today.
  3. "Sure," followed by "Hey brothers and sister mom has cookies!" I very rarely share my sweets for this reason. I buy them their own.
  4. Thinking about you and your little one today (and your two year old too). I hope you are all 100% and together soon.
  5. I am so thankful for the improved update. I hope today has been uneventful, and you see continued improvement.
  6. Congratulations! He is beautiful!
  7. My husband and I joke that his parents buy us clothes in the size they wish we were. The items are always nice and fit our style, but they are at least two sizes too small. We just smile and nod. They give our kids money for college, so that is great.
  8. I am so glad to see that you had a good 24 week report. My ultrasound "results" have been hit or miss, but I will say the 3D ultrasound they did with my middle ds was awesome. We got to see what he looked like - his nose, lips, etc. It was amazing how much he looked like those pics.
  9. I was going to say my case doesn't because it has a cutesy picture on the back, but I was wrong. I just picked it up, and it does have a cut out on the back. I had no idea.
  10. I was talking with IRL friends about this today. We were all coming up with words. I talked with them about my goals for the year, and I came up with the word balance. I tend to be an all or nothing kind of girl. I need to find a balance and accept that I can't do everything, but I need to take time for me and enjoy life while loving and enjoying time with those around me.
  11. I don't think my dh (electrical engineer) currently has a suit that fits. He tried to dress up for a presentation several years ago, and his boss told him to go put his polo back on or no one would take him seriously. Engineers in our area are not known for their fashion. All that to say that I would be shocked to learn that anyone noticed that he was wearing the same suit. I would pick a different tie, but I would honestly be surprised if anyone noticed that either. Good luck to him on his interview!!
  12. I am not sure how much we spend per kid. I am sure that if I am honest and add up everything - big gift, stocking stuff, and the really cute pair of socks that my dd will love, it would be more than $200 per kid. I just refuse to be honest and add it all up. We save all year, so we have money to spend. My dh pays all of the bills, so I am not hiding anything from him. We just choose to not know the final total.
  13. Santa does get cookies from us, but we leave him a bottle of Coca Cola. The kind in the glass bottle made in Mexico with real sugar instead of corn syrup. Santa loves those but rarely drinks one.
  14. I bought most of our legos this year from the online store, but I found two Star Wars sets at a good price at Walmart. I think I am going to go unwrap them now and make sure they contain the right Legos. Yikes! I can't imagine doing this. Especially with a toy at Christmas time.
  15. My dh fills my stocking. I get stuff for his stocking. We usually just get a little candy and maybe a gift card of some sort. I will put specialty coffee that he likes but doesn't usually buy in his.
  16. Congratulations! Saying a prayer for you and your little fighter. He sounds like an amazing little guy.
  17. I want a new fitbit (or something similar). I also told my dh that I wanted one of the Read Aloud Revival totes. He also has access to my amazon wish list that has books and puzzles that I would like. I also want new wool socks.
  18. I am sorry! I would be scared too. I am praying that you get answers with an easy fix soon.
  19. I was going to suggest a salad and rolls. I like the idea of a fruit tray too.
  20. We have cinnamon rolls, bacon, and fruit (and candy from our stockings).
  21. We focus more on meeting wants and keeping the number of gifts equal. We have spent more on my ds15 and dd13 than the 10 and 8 year olds. I feel like everyone will be happy though because they are getting what they wanted and a surprise that I think they will be excited about.
  22. I voted other. In our stores it is always with the syrups (maple, pancake, karo), but these seem to always be in a different place.
  23. We recently discovered the card game Dutch Blitz and loved it. It could take awhile if you followed the directions to quit when a person reaches x number of points. Everyone scores a certain number of points per hand. We just played until we were tired.
