  3. I had a GREAT day at work full of hugs from students, sunny skies, and signing up our school for the SEAsia Math Olympiad (first time ever! Those Singapore kids are going down! :tongue_smilie:)... Then home to a fantastic Indian meal cooked by our amah. And now I am in bed, playing on my iPad while dh is out playing tennis with the guys and the kids are asleep. Good day. :001_smile:
  4. :iagree: Most people think I am an extrovert but I am not... I just play one on TV. :tongue_smilie: In my job I have to be able to fake it really well so I have gotten very good at it but it exhausts me and I need lots of alone time to recharge.
  5. This is a response I wrote to a similar post about the Pearls who thought there was enough "good" in their writings to be worth reading: How about if I give someone a glass full of raw sewage to drink but add a few drops of purified water? Would they drink it? I mean, come on, I realize the majority of it is filth but there is SOME good water in there, right? How about if you drink the glass down but just spit out all the filth and keep only the "good parts"? The Pearls are not just wrong... They are DANGEROUS. .
  6. I would go with tennis. A. It is something you can do both casually and competitively. B. it is something you can do as a family C. You can be hardcore, compete, get scholarships, etc D. 8. No way! My kids love those stories! My ds (13yo) still remembers stories he heard on those CDs in 1st grade. He did listen to the stories more than once though. Also, I love the program so much that I brought it to my school and it is now the main history program for grades 1-4. It is by far the favorite program according to the kids and their parents!
  9. Oh gosh, well, hmmm.... I, um.... ???? I suppose we are mostly classical, very religious, and unpredictable since we change our minds all the time. :tongue_smilie:
  10. We are getting ready to bring our adopted daughter to the states for the first time and her immigration visa required every kind of vaccine you can think of! It was crazy. I follow routine vaccinations for my kids and even I thought it was over the top! .
