  1. I have used MUS since Alpha and are on Zeta now. My son loves MUS, and understands it.:001_smile:
  2. That is wonderful to hear! Way to go mom! :hurray: Stories like this give me hope that I'll get there also. This is our 6th year homeschooling. :001_smile:
  3. Congratulations on the new little one! Exciting story in a van--way to go mom! :hurray:
  4. That is really cute! I've had shelties all my life until 2 yrs. ago. Right before we had to put down our last sheltie (old age-14) it was my sons turn to pick a dog that would be his. Well we went to the shelter and he picked a border collie/retriever mix. This dog does some weird stuff when we are playing on wii as well. :001_smile:
  5. You have a wonderful gift to share. The pictures are beautiful.
  6. I homeschool my son who has Asperger's ever since kindergarten and he's in 6th now. He has always been a part-time enrollment in public school so he can receive speech therapy services. He takes no other classes at public school. He has been in speech therapy since kindergarten. Early on for actual speech articulation problems. At this point we still work on "R"s and the rest of speech is geared toward the social deficits. So check with your school and see if they won't just continue to offer speech.
  7. :hurray::party::thumbup: This is great news! I was hoping Oscar would return. I'm sure Emma is over joyed, but I imagine you are as well. Here's hoping that things will be just fine with the new kitty and Oscar.:cheers2:
  8. I don't know why she's always hitting the same spot. Since the headaches have come back and has been tender all week, I would take her to the doctor. Might be time for some type of scan due to repeated head injuries.
  9. I'm using Analytical Grammar for our LA this year. But writing is another story all together. I keep trying though. After our break I'm starting a poetry section with my son and I'm hoping to get some writing out of him there, all be it probably short, step by step might make a difference.
  10. That is wonderful, Amy! What a dictionary a handy tool? :001_smile:
  11. Praying for the migraine to leave and stay gone for the night.
  12. :grouphug: The family will be in our prayers for rest and healing. :grouphug:
  13. I can't be of much help. I don't recognize any of the situations you describe. I can tell you that it does not sound at all like my son who has aspergers syndrome. I would try to get an eval from a neuro or maybe just start with an eval from the public school.
  14. My son had really bad night terrors when he was very young, usually between 12-1 am. So we started waking him up around 11pm taking him to bathroom maybe a quick drink of water and back to bed that this helped out tremendously with the night terrors. They either didn't happen or he was much easier to wake if it happened. Now my son takes 1.5 mg. of melatonin to help him get to sleep. He's usually not a mid sleep waker, only on occasion. Much harder for him to get to sleep. Here's hoping for a restful, peaceful nights sleep for the both of you! :001_smile: That coming from a past continually sleep deprived mom.
  15. Another cheap one here. :001_smile: During the day it's on 64, night time 56/58. We are usually all dressed in a couple of layers.
  16. A good starter knife would be "Gerber" brand--they have some that are 4" or under. It is just your plain basic general good pocket knife. You can purchase these at Walmart, Target, REI and number of outdoor sports shops.
