  1. Oh, poor baby. :( I tend to idealize animals sometimes, but some can be just as cruel as people. I know nothing about chickens, but hope you are able to find a solution. :grouphug: to you and her.
  2. We like tunic tops and short dresses over leggings. Comfy and cute.
  3. He doesn't have an option for people of no political affiliation. :)
  4. I once had a weird virus hang on for about a month. Hoping you feel better sooner than that!
  5. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: , Terabith.
  6. Or on military invasions.
  7. I'm in my 40's, and I still think tampons are evil! So glad she's feeling better now.
  8. When I was a young teenager and had a bike accident resulting in me landing face-first on the pavement, my mother put me in a warm bath with a (small) glass of wine. Bless her heart. :)
  9. Possibly a custom-made Un-Bra? https://decentexposures.com/Bras/Detail/Un_Bra They will make any modifications you specify and even remake parts of the bra if necessary. One modification you might want: "Lycra Ribbing - a soft, 2" wide cotton/lycra ribbing is now available in place of the rib elastic for those who can't tolerate anything tight around the rib cage. Best for A-F cups."
  10. I'm saving mine and plan on sending them here for recycling: thecrayoninitiative.org From their website: The Crayon Initiative organizes crayon collections that take unwanted crayons, remanufactures them, and provides them to hospitals that are caring for our kids. Hospital arts’ programs provide in-hospital entertainment and learning programs. During a hospital stay, it’s important for children to continue normal childhood development and skills building and to keep life as close to “normal†as possible for them. Art helps hospitalized children by alleviating anxiety, providing psychological support, and offering creative outlets for self-expression. Childrens’ arts programs also enhance problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and promote creativity and imagination. Children can escape into a world of fantasy penned by their own imagination just by using crayons. The wax from crayons is not biodegradable and will never break down, leaving a waxy sludge in our landfills for centuries to come. The Crayon Initiative supports environmental efforts by diverting crayons from the landfills. Annually, over 500,000 pounds of broken crayons are discarded in landfills throughout the country. By collecting unwanted crayons from restaurants, schools, as well as other locations, and recycling them into new ones, The Crayon Initiative is doing our part to prevent crayons from depositing in the landfill.
  11. Update: Thank you everyone for your continued prayers. Her tracheostomy the other day went well; she now has that in place, as well as a peg feeding tube (directly to her stomach). Over the past 24 hours, they have been slowly weaning her to lower doses of sedation and pain medication, and she is showing encouraging signs of responsiveness. Please keep her in your prayers today, as they are attempting to get her to breathe on her own, apart from the ventilator. So far, it's been very difficult and tiring for her to take her own breaths whenever they have attempted to take her off of the ventilator machine. Pray that God would strengthen her lungs, and enable her to breathe on her own.
  12. I think you meant to quote Where's Toto. :)
  13. Bonus: ready-to-go campaign song. Obviously we need a President who is never gonna give us up, never gonna let us down...
  14. I only wear them under long skirts. The world doesn't need to see my booty.
  15. I found Gamewright's Horse Show card game at a thrift store for $0.25, and my daughter is really enjoying it. However, we are missing one of the Blue Ribbon event cards. If you have the game, would you be able to tell me what is on our missing card so we can recreate it? We have one Dealer's Choice event, three Dressage events, three Jumper events, three Hunter events, and four Equitation events. I can give more detail if you need it. I know this is a long shot, but thought it worth a try. :)
  16. Anything from the Thriller album Karma Chameleon Pump Up the Jam 1999 Too many other 80's songs to name MMMBop All About that Bass (hangs head in shame) Head Like a Hole (but that's actually a cool song, I guess) I :001_wub: music.
  17. You're not weird; I find them interesting, too. (Oops, logical fallacy!)
  18. My husband. He is an excellent leader and problem solver with wide-ranging knowledge and experience. He understands the intricacies of business, science, technology, and history. He is articulate, humble, kind, and brilliant. He values all lives, regardless of race, nationality, ability, or age. He is the most genuinely righteous person I know. Alas, he has no interest in politics. :)
  19. Update from her dad: She is in surgery right now. The intracranial pressures have stabilized, so the doctors are doing two procedures: a tracheostomy and a peg feeding tube placement since they feel that she will finally be able to tolerate them. She is getting the tracheostomy placed to help transition her from the ventilator. The doctors think that part of what is causing her agitation when the sedation is decreased could be the ventilator tube down her throat. They feel that the tracheostomy would be much less traumatic for her during the process of lowering the sedation in the upcoming days or week. The peg tube placement would be for her nutrition, replacing the tube going through her nose making her transition from sedation less agitating for her. Thanks again for your prayers, We are so humbled by the prayers and support that we have received! We serve a mighty Creator and nothing is impossible for Him! Please continue to pray for her brain swelling to decrease and for her body to heal.
