  1. Put her in Aaron Academy, an umbrella school. My ds1 had jumped back forth from private, homeschooling and public. AA was able to figure it all out, and now he's supposed to get his diploma in Jan. https://www.aaronacademy.com/
  2. I would pay sister's rent personally, not give her the money. And why would you take her child?? Is this something she asked for so she could finish her semester?
  3. I don't know that this is necessarily "rebound".....I do know some men NEED to be married (like my Father). While I empathize with your pain and feelings of betrayal, I think in this case you should be happy for him; he will grieve for the rest of his life for his wife, and if this woman can make him happy and give him comfort, then let her. She is not replacing your sister; no one can. Perhaps your sister would have wanted her husband to go on without her. I'm very sorry for your pain and the loss of your beloved sister.:grouphug:
  4. Eating chocolate, yelling at the tv, praying, generally driving my husband crazy :D My oldest two have seen mommy-on-election-day. This will be the first one my youngest will be able to remember. I am very glad my dd has school off that day. She, however is not. :tongue_smilie: I always make sure I have nothing to do the next day, but unfortunetly I *have* to be somewhere at 9am. So, I'll probably be :willy_nilly:
  5. Good point. My neighbors and I were wondering why there were parents driving while their kids walked. We thought they were being lazy.
  6. :iagree: and *gasp* sometimes when they are great big boys :D
  7. I so understand. I'm very happy for you!!!!!:grouphug:
  8. My older children have done them with our Church. Fun fun fun! They loved it. And considering I am an anal-retentive, neurotic, worrying momma I was able to get past all that and let them go and have fun because our Church has their p's & q's in order. ETA: They are not big ones for all the kids, they have been for their particular small group.
  9. I haven't. My dd and her friends make duct tape wallets. It looks fun though! I think I will suggest to my dd that she make one for her little bro's Christmas gift.
  10. that I've already begun my Christmas list, AND started to shop?! I like for it to be done early. Key word "like" :tongue_smilie:
  11. I don't think you're being needy at all. I'm one of those shout to the world when you need prayers, 'cause every little bit helps. :001_smile: And, God has an awesome way of making it better just when you think there's nothing left. Praying! :grouphug:
  12. Well, my oldest ds is technically an adult, but is still about middle teens emotionally, mentally. Sorry, not very helpful.
  13. My hubbie got me a nexus 7 for our anniv. I did. NOT.want it! I was still getting used to my Kindle touch. A few months later, I LOVE it. Awesome. My dd saved up her b-day money and got the cheapest one she loved mine so much.
  14. Yes, you should be getting a calendar and schedule of all upcoming activities from your Staff Sarg.
  15. not really. patience is really a virtue in this. :tongue_smilie: my hair is super long, thick and curly. slather it with conditioner, get a heavy duty wide toothed comb, turn on some tunes, and start combing. may the force be with you!
