  1. I've been "sandwiched" pretty much for as long as my dd has been alive. I haven't truly wanted to get off the ride until this past October. I'm . so. tired. You have my sympathies. I did learn many years ago that if my mother could not make a choice, then I would. And she had to accept it. It worked great most of the last 8 years. They constant mind changing drove me insane. :willy_nilly:
  2. He helps me with my planning time by keeping the kids busy, we discuss ideas, curriculum, projects, etc. He works really hard @ his job to pay for everything. He takes ds to his football/soccer practices (it counts as PE). He would do more if I asked or needed it; I don't though because I only homeschool our youngest.
  3. Nope. Our library has a beautiful new building-with a carppy selection of books. It's the running joke in our town.
  4. I immediately think of the show Real Houswives of the O.C. I like the way Rosanne said it best: Domestic Goddess
  5. The public schools in my town use crossing guards hired by the police dept.
  6. I agree with American food. When my dad had business men from Japan come into town, it was always a nice steak house. And my stepmom never went along.
  7. Sounds to me like they wanted to bypass the wife because I bet they figured the hubbie would agree to the babysitting. I've had people try that.
  8. Accept!!!!! And someday pay it forward. :001_smile:
  9. :iagree: this. It's extremely difficult; I know, I'm having to do it. :grouphug:
  10. I plan on sitting on my bottom dollar, cuddling w/my ds and eating junk. :D Ohhhhhh....pie sounds good too ;)
  11. When we travel into the Eastern time zone, I hate it because it's still daylight at 8:30pm...it freaks me out
  12. I miss living in AZ simply for the fact they refuse to deal with the silliness of spring forward, fall back. Where I am at, AZ is now two hours behind me.
  13. :iagree: That's what I am doing, along with the samples and reviewing math he knows.
  14. Has anyone used Handwriting without tears grade 3? My ds has horrible penmenship....I've tried a few different cheaper manuscript books, but my friend suggested I try to teach cursive because it's sometimes easier. I really like the grade 3 (well, as much as I can tell from the internet) but am worried about blowing more money down the drain if it's not for us. Any reviews? Thanks!
  15. workbooks, programs, etc, for math, language arts, logic. That kind of thing for a 3rd/4th grade level. Thanks!
