  1. I actually unwrapped and rewrapped a wrapped gift so I could add another book. I'm excited for me. I'm pretty sure I'm getting a lot of books this year.
  2. I'd take him to the doctor. It's probably nothing, but I know a woman whose Chiari malformation was diagnosed as a result of issues she began having while lifting.
  3. I'd say you're fine. In my head I was picturing a much smaller truck, but it sounds like this one was unusually huge for a standard delivery truck. The only thing I might suggest is adding some lighting? But I wouldn't worry about it, given all the larger vehicles that have made it.
  4. http://www.midwestliving.com/recipe/vegetables/sunny-broccoli-salad/ This broccoli salad is delicious.
  5. Do it! I started judo at 31 and loved every minute of it. You really do get over the awkwardness.
  6. We don't use bows that often, and the last batch I bought was cheap. However, if they were nice, I'd save them. I save and reuse gift boxes, gift bags, and tissue paper if it's in good condition. It just seems wasteful to not do that.
  7. My oldest is a clothes nut, so that's what he's getting. My 2nd is so difficult, but he's getting a pair of jeans, Christmas Captain Crunch and a pepperoni stick, 2 25 pound weight plates, The Histories of Middle Earth, one of those stainless steel double insulated water bottles to keep his water super cold, and bouncy balls (he was bouncing his brothers Nerf Rival ammo recently and was lamenting the lack of bouncy balls in his life). Speaking of Nerf, my older boys still love to have Nerf wars. We have a huge arsenal, and the youngest still requests guns for gifts so we have plenty, but if this wasn't the case I'd definitely buy them some Nerf Rival guns and extra ammo. Machi Koro will be a family gift, but it's a game that my boys have played with some friends of ours and have been begging for it.
  8. I haven't read it yet, but I enjoyed the first two you listed and "Small Great Things" by Jodi Picoult caught my attention at the library this week. I also liked Half Broke Horses, which is by the same author as The Glass Castle.
  9. I am 42 and still get a Lifesavers Sweet Storybook from Santa every year. We live several states apart and don't spend Christmas together. Sometimes I find it under my pillow when we make our annual trek to see my parents in the summer, and sometimes it's left in my basement after my parents make their annual trek to visit us. It makes me smile because that was something always in my stocking.
  10. Fitbit Blaze? Ninja coffee bar? New chair to replace the hideous recliner that just won't fall apart? (Maybe that last one is too specific :P ).
  11. I prefer NOW brand. I take True Balance.
  12. I've made Christmas Crack with Glutino (I think that's the name) crackers.
  13. You just reminded me...one time in our small group we played a game. Husbands we're separated from their wives, and both were asked questions. One was: what did your wife wear to church today? I was still wearing the same outfit. Dh I got it wrong, and was gobsmacked it was the same thing. The creepy part was another husband knew. That was back when we were busy having 5 babies in 6 years, so I don't blame him for not knowing, but it was very funny.
  14. For the ham and eggs cups, I use a non-stick spray.
  15. I like these: http://www.emilybites.com/2017/02/ham-and-cheese-egg-cups.html
  16. Is there a Fluxx or two you'd recommend? Is it easier to start with the original or doesn't it matter? I've heard of this game but never looked until yesterday and now I'm positive we must get a set for Christmas.
  17. Ha! When I was researching ants trying to figure what would be a good option for him, I wasn't a happy camper. I told my dh "I don't care about ants! Why doesn't he want to breed puppies or something?!". But I have to admit, watching the colony is kind of cool. Not puppy cool, but cool :D.
  18. I'm inconsistent. It seems less and less necessary since all the people I'd send one to are on FB. I'm not sending them this year because it's just not in our budget. We've had an expensive health year (broken collar bone, kidney stones, liver biopsy, and most recently, an ER visit for symptoms resembling an atypical seizure and we still have testing coming up for that). Christmas is scaled down a bit, and that includes not doing cards. I like receiving them, but I open them, look at them, put them on dh's desk, and never look at them again.
  19. What about Shrinky Dinks? They have kits or you can buy the paper in sheets.
  20. All my ds18 wanted was clothes, so he's getting those. Ds17 never wants anything. So he's getting a pair of jeans, Christmas Captain Crunch, a pepperoni stick, 25 pound weight plates, a new water bottle, and The Histories of Middle Earth. Oh, and some bouncy balls, which I will probably regret, but he'll be amused.
  21. I've purchased off of a link at nfl.com . I don't remember the name, but it's the place where people sell their tickets 2nd hand. As a Packer fan, I have to say I'm extremely jealous!
  22. Ideal would be on the 50 yard line, but I'd be happy anywhere.
  23. Probably the formicarium from AntWorldUSA for my ds13. He's been talking about being an ant farmer for months. I was even able to get him a starter ant colony with a queen and I've managed to keep the colony alive!
