    I teach in my living room, but hope to carve out a better space soon. We have a small 2 bedroom apartment. There are lot of teachers confined to small spaces. It is doable. Hope you find a place that works for you. If you are interested in pursued VIPKID, there are a lot of Facebook groups dedicated to helping new applicants.

    My daughter loved her French classes with Madame S. My other daughter took Fairy tale, fantasy and myth. She didn't care for the class at all. For this type of genre, the class was plodding. Those are our only experiences with the Potter's School.

    I went to bed earlier than usual and had my 17 yo checking on the forums before she went to sleep. It's funny how dependent I am on all of you to learn new things, to have my way of thinking challenged, and then there's actual homeschooling issues. So thanks everybody for making the boards a wonderful place!

    Tomorrow I'm going to try this. We have the same problem to the point I'm embarrassed at how dirty the tub looks even after I've spent a long time and a lot of effort scrubbing. I'm even thought of spray painting it white.

    I flagged the status update as spam after I saw your post here. If I'm online, I try to check the recent status updates. Lately there have been a couple of spammers posting "updates." I'll have to check to see if there's a way to report an update or if something should be added.

    I feel so strongly about staying home when it's not safe to drive. A acquaintance's 22 yo daughter was killed when she lost control of her car after hitting a patch of black ice in the Dallas area several years ago. Her mom wanted her to stay home, but she was afraid of losing her job. Her boss was known to be rigid about time off. So sad

    My daughters and I love miso soup when we're eating out. Every time we've tried to make it home, it's a dismal failure. It looks so simple! I'm not a good cook & would appreciate if someone would walk me through this.

    We really like our Brother multi-function printer. It was more expensive but the ink savings was worth it for us. We print a lot.

    I've had a concussion as well. Please take it very easy! Take at least one day from work. I ended up missing 5 days straight because among other symptoms sounds and light hurt a lot.

    Maybe you could ask for a letter of reference. She might be willing especially since it shouldn't harm her business. That way if she says anything negative later, you have the letter as rebuttal. She might even sign a letter you write if it's a more or less a standard reference letter.

    You might consider filing for unemployment. The money isn't ever much, but it can help. I'm so sorry your going through this. :grouphug: :grouphug:

    We're having a spiral cut ham and Chinese takeout. We did takeout for Thanksgiving this year as well. Wonderfully relaxing.

    I'm not certain but the "fair market value" of her room might be taxable for her as well. I would be very concerned if my daughters were involved in situations such as this one. So many ways she could be manipulated and exploited.
