  1. I don't hate it anymore. I am not overly fond of it. I was born in the 70's and named Jennifer. Sigh. I was tired of being one of many. I never had less than 3-4 other Jennifers in my classes. Now I go by Jenn and it is fine.
  2. We had our third 1 week befoer our 15th. We had our newborn photo shoot and went to a movie. We kinda played by ear and just relaxed and enjoyed what came. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary!
  3. Sounds like a plan to me. Sorry that this is cause you worry. I hate dealing with repairs! Poor puppy! Jenn
  4. Can you change the railing so it does not look so odd?
  5. Hewitt Homeschooling Honors English using both the American lit packs (We are using the syllabus to work at home) Wordly Wise 10 WWS 2 Grammar ???? MUS ALgebra Apologia Biology Mr. G German (currclick) Hewitt Homescholling U.S. History (using syllabus) Piano TaeKwonDo Concert Chorus
  6. No, There is more room for clutter! So we have more clutter. Drives me nuts!
  7. Score for Waldorf Education: -6 Score for Traditional Education: -13 Score for Unit Studies Education: 0 Score for Montessori Education: 9 Score for Thomas Jefferson Education: -8 Score for Unschooling: 6 Score for Classical Education: 8 Score for Charlotte Mason Education: 3 I answered neither agree nor disagree on many becasue I felt that my answer would change based on the abilites of the child being taught. I teach my girls very differently.
  8. My OB told me to get Ferrous Gluconate not Ferrous sulfate. The gluconate it more readily absorbed and is not as harsh on the stomach. My iron was at 8. It really worked for me This is the one I use. (I still do as I have anemia issues even not PG). Take 3 per day but check with your doctor on the exact amount to take.
  9. One thing we ran into is that the age is 12 in CA and the federal law states that to have an online account the child must be 13. We have Kaiser and they push to do everything online and form the age of 12 -13 you can't. You can not have access to them via your account and they cannot setup their own. So on top of all the heinousness quoted above I can't email her dr. not set appointments, or order perscription refills. Also, (although DD can waive it) they can ask me to stay in the waiting room for the first 10 minutes of the appointment. Yuck. just yuck.
  10. I agree you absolutely need it. What happens if you injury yourself trying to get her in and out in the small cramped spaces between cars? I hope that the ped. helps you out!
  11. I voted ketchup and other. It depends on my mood. There are a couple of scenarios that decide what I have with tater tots and fries. 1. I am in a British mood and have malt vinegar. 2. Just ketchup becasue it is simple. 3. We are having chicken nuggets with them so I need honey mustard. 4. Nothing. Most likely because I am driving and I can't use a condiment.
  12. In reference to the bolded: I have two passwords. One to "open" the phone for use and one to download apps. They are different.
  13. www.ataonline.com is a great place to search for TaeKwonDo schools in your area. I agree with the previous poster that the instructor sets the tone. There are many martial arts options in our areas but this instructor fit us best. my DD13 has been doind TKD with him for 10 years and my DD7 is now training too!
  14. That is a total bummer! So sorry. On a side note (if you have already examined this ignore me) When I worked I only brought home a minimal amount and it was enough to bump us to another tax bracket. We figured out that hubby brought home more money or when we changed our withholding we got a large tax return (enough to pay for a trip no problem) with me not working.
  15. The IV fluids maybe makeing the swelling worse. I puffed up like the marshmallow man when I hade those. Soaking towels in the epsom salt bath solution and wrapping them aound my legs helped more than the bath. I think it was because I was not comfortable in the bath tub and being in my fav. arem chair or bed helped me relax and then the epsom salts worked better. It also allowed me to have my legs up which felt a little bit better. I hope you find some relief!
  16. We love it. After DD7 goes to bed we will be watching last Sunday's episode on Hulu Plus. I was wary of the Frozen tie in at first but thought it went pretty well. No less believable then.........Ooops sorry. Spoilers! Jenn
  17. No they are not required. We have a rubberized mat floor.
  18. I roast it with salt and pepper then puree in the food processor or blender. Put it in a sauce pan then add chicken stock, cream or 1/2 & 1/2 until soup consistancy. I use a little nutmeg, ground ginger and more salt and pepper to taste. Depending on mood I will change the spices. I have used curry powder or rosemary and sage etc.
  19. Oh my heart aches for you. I soo totally get that feeling. With surprise #3(now 10 months) I longed for all of the things that went sideways with #1 & #2 to magically not thave happened. I wanted my baby but did not want to be pregnant! Don't feel horrible. It is ok to feel this way. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  20. My kids are very far apart. Between the 2nd and 3rd there is 6 years. We thought we were done and our little Sarah was wonderful surprise, We had nothing and everyone knew that and wanted to help. I think that a baby shower is very appropriate in this circumstance.
  21. I do and I was not. :D I replied without reading the thread as not to contaminate my definition.
  22. I bought a set of Corningware dishes off of e-bay 15 years ago and I love them. Stoneware sets me teeth on edge when scrapped by silverware so I happend to find these. They are pricey new but you can find the on the used market. Never had a chip. Broke one when dropped on a granite counter top.
  23. I was one of the unwashed heathens :D that vacuumed not so often. Then I had another baby. I vacuum most days.
