  1. No advice. I can't imagine having to deal with that all the time. Poor kid!:grouphug:
  2. Congratulations and prayers!:grouphug:
  3. I too am a stay at home mom. We struggle financially but I wouldn't have it any other way.
  4. Frustrating. Take a picture of him when he gets to your ideal look. Then when it is time for grooming again give the picture to the groomer. Maybe that will help.
  5. I use a plastic tote with a few holes drilled in the bottom for drainage.
  6. :crying: I had a natural miscariage at home. I had known for a few days it was coming. I was 10 weeks along. It was way worse than a bad period, I bled heavily for over an hour and the cramping was tough. I went to the er after dh got home and they did an ultrasound and saw that I didn't need a d and c, but recommended a followup ultrasound with my regular doc. I didn't have any medications to cause the miscariage and I forget what meds I had after going to the er, but they were only for pain I think. I am so sorry for your loss. :grouphug: praying for you.
  7. I've said this. I don't homeschool (yet) I'm still in the learning about it phase. These boards are fantastic! Anyway, I do plan to do a trial this summer. It's really more for me than the kids. Can I be wholely responsible for thier education, can I make that kind of commitment daily, will I want to rip my hair out? I figure the answer is yes to all of those questions but I still need a trial for me. I didn't pull my kids out of school mid year because of my insecurity. Hopefully with a little practice I can feel more prepared.
  8. This site has always run slow for me. I'd post more but then I'd be here all day waiting for it to load.
  9. I love my Riccar. Best vacuum I've ever had. It has lasted forever, and shows no signs of slowing down.
  10. Hmm, my screen thingy is lower than the scanner part. Thank goodness, because that would drive me crazy!
  11. I recently bought a HP Photosmart5510. It can scan, copy, prints fairly quickly, and the ink costs $12 at Staples. (I'm sure I can get it cheaper elsewhere - I just havn't looked yet) Oh, it can also be wireless and can put it into economy while making copies. I'm happy with it.
  12. :grouphug: Sorry about your job. I've had a kid meltdown in Walmart too. Not fun at all.
  13. Lets see....puppies need to be constantly supervised while housebreaking, they will use your kids, furniture, or anything laying around as a chew toy, they will wake you up in the middle of the night to go outside, if you move out of the country it is a royal pain to get papers in order for them to go with you... -- did that help any? All that being said, I'm a sucker for animals in general and have added many over the years at the most inconvenient times. :tongue_smilie:
  14. http://www.thermos.com/products/intak-blue-24-oz-hydration-bottle.aspx This is the one I have. On a hot day it won't keep your drink cold but I love the pop top and the part that lets me keep track of how much I drink. The spout is about an inch in diameter. I really like it.
  15. I got a free sample week from a friend of mine. I made up the shakes twice daily and ate a normal supper. There are many different flavors and they all taste so good. Not chalky and no aftertaste. I really enjoyed them. (my kids did too- I gave them a sip of each flavor) The week that I used the shakes I lost 5lbs and kept it off even though I went back to my normal meals the next week.
