  1. I can't sleep with the sheets tucked in. I love to vacuum. I read vintage housekeeping books for fun. And I also do a bunch of the previously mentioned weird things.
  2. Hello! I'm a sahm and my kids are in a private Lutheran school. I have 2 girls ages 8 and 10. I'd love to home school, but life's not working out that way so far. I've learned so much from this board and my kids are improving because of it. I dabble in gardening, crocheting and home improvement. I collect books, Raggedy Ann dolls, Amish type dolls, vintage toys from my childhood and I love finding old housekeeping type books.
  3. I like to read that book when I need a good cry but haven't been able to. Works every time.
  4. I hate waiting and uncertainty too. :grouphug:
  5. Random musings: I must remember to take off my rings before playing playdoh with the kids. I am secretly enjoying my dh being gone for the week. It makes suppers so easy.
  6. Congratulations and prayers for you!
  7. :hurray::hurray: Good for you! I have a picture on my fb page and it says "No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch."
  8. When there is a musty smell you can put the book in a ziplock bag with a dryer sheet, maybe that will work?
  9. I am familiar with them, but only since having kids. I know a daycare worker that reported abuse on a child that had them.
  10. Right now I'm choosing between ps and homeschool. I'm having issues with the private school.
  11. We were at the library today for a short presentation on lambs. I figured that if I can learn so much from you all while lurking, that it would be a good read.:tongue_smilie: I'm not currently homeschooling, my kids are in a private Lutheran school. Today I get a call from the principal (school has been out for 2 weeks) saying that we need to set up a meeting before the next school year begins so we can get on the same page. ~there is a long back story but I thought it all had been resolved. Apparently things on their end were not better but they never brought it to my attention. He is going to call me back to schedule the meeting, and somehow I don't think it will go well. We clearly are not communicating and I don't know how to fix that. Maybe I'll be homeschooling after all, and it terrifies me.
  12. :iagree: Continue to be as supportive as possible. Keep sending out resumes. Maybe send out a wider variety of resumes. My dh finally found a different job in something he never thought of at first. :grouphug:
