If you like those - I HIGHLY recommend the book "Creepy Cute Crochet" by Christen Haden.
It has robots, ninjas, Spartans, Trojans, knights ...and various monsters.
I made my son the knight for his birthday.
How deep is your sand/fiber? It should be at least 3" (or 3x the height of the biggest crab) If they busy themselves - do you dig them up (which can stress them) or stir the sand (which can close off their 'air tunnels' and suffocate them)
I also agree with a previous poster though - are you sure they are really dead? (They often can LOOK dead when they are molting, but the [truly] dead ones smell horrible. :tongue_smilie:)
Do you see any mites in the cage? (About the size of the head of a pin)
I also recommend bathing the crabs weekly (unless they are buried)
And if you do have mites the tank needs to be sterilized.
Otherwise it sounds like you are doing everything right. (Maybe try getting them from a different store?
When I was a classroom teacher one of my students was named Lilygol.
I thought it was SO unusual.
Her mother said that in her native country 'gol' means lily - so her name was really Lily Lily
I make my own using Open Office, and I make a double sided page for each week. The first side has the subjects we do together, and the second side has individual subjects
We'll probably do a lapbook on state symbols (flag, flower, bird, etc) and possibly read some biographies of people from our state, but that's probably about the extent to which we'll go.
My daughter loves to listen to music while she works. I prefer classical and music without words, but I do allow 'mellow' music with lyrics such as hymns or contemporary Christian radio.
My son needs quiet so we bought him some 'noise reducing' earmuffs, (the type shooters use for ear protection,) so DD can listen to her music without bothering him too much.
Can someone tell me if these are a full history program, or are they more supplemental? Also - what ages are they geared towards?
Thanks!

So far we are thinking about:
CLE: Bible, Math, Reading
R&S social studies (as a spine) plus appropriate American history read alouds
R&S science
R&S spelling
Growing With Grammar
English from the Roots Up
Piano lessons, (and possibly another instrument?)
Crafts - my 12 yr old daughter loves beads and jewelry making supplies, and she has been begging to learn how to knit or crochet.
We got her one of these for Christmas, and she loves it. (It sort of reminds me of the old Spirograph sets - but even more creative)
Mandala Designer
we just buy cheap vinyl tablecloths - they clean up well if we are doing messy stuff, and we can get them cheap enough at Wal-mart so we change them with the seasons when they get worn out.
If company is coming over - I do have some nicer cloth tablecloths that I will put on.
Um..no ...definitely not! (At least not in the Wisconsin Synod) ;)
And when the word 'catholic' is used in the Nicene creed - it doesn't mean "Roman Catholic" it means the actual definition of the word which is "universal" http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/catholic
Our Lutheran hymnal had a re-write several years ago, and in it they changed the wording of the Nicene Creed from "one catholic and apostolic church," to "one Christian and apostolic church" .... just so people wouldn't be confused.
That. was. horrendous.
Isaiah 2:12
The LORD Almighty has a day in store
for all the proud and lofty,
for all that is exalted
(and they will be humbled),
Night sweats can be hormonal, or they can also be a symptom of more serious illnesses. I would definitely mention it to your doctor. Also some medications can cause you to sweat at night.
