Dallas has good signage and airport staff and people generally are very friendly compared to some cities. My concern would be a stop over anywhere. I would drive further or take a different airline. Planes just aren’t on time in any way you can count on. If a connection is missed or flight canceled and not booked until the next day she will need to advocate for herself and be able to manage a taxi or other transport to a hotel and back.

Thank you for the update .

We each did our own little IKEA house last year when the adult children visited. We were going to do a large one but it never happened.

Thinking of all of you in Maine. Words aren’t adequate.

Snow chains and other things to know about living somewhere cold
Starr replied to TrulySusan's topic in The Chat Board
We have all driven in bad conditions when we were young and should have stayed put. And we all know someone who ended up in a ditch or crashed into a tree or have seen a line of many cars that have slid off the road and worse due to ice and snow. Weather will win against the if i try hard it will be fine mentality. I wish them a good, safe and interesting trip across country. -
So nice of her to share. 😆

I like this. Make Easter candy jelly bean houses!

If they have to stop and get a hotel until storms blows over or they end up sliding off the road on an ice patch it will add more time and frustration than a longer trip. You can’t just put chains on the tires and carry on like it’s a dry road. -

Unless they are living up some mountain pass they will be fine in Washington without chains . What part of the state are they moving to? It might be easier to drive across country further south and take the pretty drive up the pacific coast . -
I love the jellybean houses in St. John’s NL!

Thanks for checking in 💗. I’ve been thinking about you and the diocese. Will continue safety prayers for all. -
Sorry. I just meant for me I would just do my bedroom and then if I was up to doing more I would go from there. We did hallways neutral and other rooms as we liked. But I couldn’t picture it all at once . It was too overwhelming.

That’s a lot. I’m sorry.

Sorting a whole house is mentally exhausting unless one loves to do it. We do bedrooms whatever color each person likes that week. I would do one space in a color you like. That would be enough for me. I’m sorry you have so many layers of life to work through.

The Muppets loved him. That’s always a plus. I was always amused by his outdoor television look. He was the cleanest most pressed hiker, canoe r , ever. I liked his music. We all knew his songs. As mentioned above it was a time of a guitar and singing together.

Thanks for sharing her sweetest picture .

Welcome sweet Hazel!

We’ve moved to hard sided. I see some have an expanding zipper which would be helpful. The dimensions are the most important for carry on.

Ah the wish for a serenade. 😂 my dh is a jazz guitarist and it’s generally just repetitive learning of parts of a song. Once it’s learned and up to speed he’s on to something new.

Would she respond to some affirmation , a little gushing over her generosity to do this, however fake?

We got glasses from the library and watched from our apartment balcony in Dallas. I think we get the April one as well .
