  1. I don't know the thread, but is this the curriculum? There was also a thread that mentioned Calculus Without Tears, but I don't think that one is worksheets.
  2. I always used to be able to do that too. Just wait a few years.....:D
  3. One of our household expectations is: Don't make work for others. I expect everyone to pick up after themselves, and to finish a job. If you clean something with a sponge, it's your responsibility to clean it and put it away. If you get something out, you put it away.
  4. My dh does the yard work and takes care of the cars. He also does tons of house projects (basement refinish, new kitchen counters, new tile floors in bathroom, paints walls, etc.). I don't expect him to do anything else, because I have plenty of time to cook and clean. He would pitch in if I needed help, but I don't.
  5. Oops, forgot no dairy. Okay, scratch a few of those.
  6. When I have days like that I usually prepare everything in the morning and then reheat or assemble it at dinner time. Tacos Enchiladas Burritos Soup/chili Pasta salads Lasagna Creamed chicken with rice
  7. I didn't even know there was a movie! It's one of my all time favorite books. Did you know he's writing a new historical fiction trilogy? :hurray:
  8. I'm not sure about this. Might be nitpicking, but... Developmental dyslexia in Chinese and English populations: dissociating the effect of dyslexia from language differences
  9. :iagree: We just had the floors redone, and we painted first. It was a mistake.
  10. My new one, yes. The old one cooked too hot, the food burned, and the countertop would get really hot. I was never comfortable with that thing, which is why I got a new one.
  11. I can't answer. I don't think it should be required, but I'd be happy to see it offered.
  12. We did a complete remodel at our old house for $15,000. New maple cabinets, composite countertops, tile floor, all appliances. But it was a small kitchen.
  13. Our hospital policy is that employees may refuse the shot, but they must wear a face mask for any patient contact.
  14. I thought it was great. It makes me sad that I never learned this in school though.
  15. One suggestion- try a notched card. There is a picture and explanation here. Scroll to the bottom of page 2, to the subheading "While Your Child Reads Each Book". It's really helpful for kids who are having trouble reading left to right.
  16. Huh. I found between 2 and 12 to be the easiest times. I had 2 colicky babies, so for me the first 6 months were easily the most challenging. Ages 15-16 are a close second. :crying:
  17. :iagree: But I would expect many 4th graders wouldn't get it right. That's okay, a test should have questions that differ in difficulty. It isn't a college level question.
