  1. This is a really good point. If that is the case, I would want to know what the suspicions are before proceeding.
  2. I read your other post yesterday. I guess I just don't understand what the Dr is looking for??? Your baby doesn't sound *that* tiny and as you said, is meeting/exceeding milestones. What's the problem? My DS was 6lbs at birth and quickly gained to be 50%, then by 4 months he was below 3% and stayed there until he was 2 years. He weighed 16lbs 9oz at 1 year. I was a little concerned with his weight and brought it up at 9 months, his Dr pinched his thigh (he did have a little roll) and said "this doesn't lie, he's fine". Also, I'm barely 5'0" and DH is 5'10" and we were both skinny kids, we were just not destined to have chunky babies. :D
  3. I'm 5'0", weigh about 125lbs (would like to lose about 15lbs) but I maintain this weight very easily and I would guess that most days, I consume 1800-2300 calories.
  4. I would definitely try the highlights or a semi-permanent color. There is no way I could just grow the gray out. Actually, I'm never going gray, I refuse :tongue_smilie:. I hoping genetics is on my side for this though, my dad was 76 when he died and he still had about 50% black hair. I saw a lady at the library a couple weeks ago, she looked like she had put a bowl on the crown of her head and left that gray, and colored the rest of her hair dark brown. :001_unsure: It was ...... not a good look.
  5. I was a Home Ec. teacher, taught sewing to middle schoolers. 95 times out of 100, if they were having trouble with the machine, it was not threaded properly or the bobbin wasn't wound correctly.
  6. Here's a gross story to go with that... Warning... My sister is a farmer/rancher and they have a lot of outside cats. One time she picked up a young cat and there appeared to be a hole in the cat's side. So my sister, who is not phased by anything, starts squeezing/pushing and a "worm" came out of the hole. The cat turned out to be fine, I think she de-wormed it.
  7. I have a GE HE toploader. It is 6 years old and I'm very happy with it. It can hold a HUGE amount of laundry, I can wash a king-sized down comforter in it. It does spin very hard and clothes sometimes get twisted but I dry everything and I like to iron :tongue_smilie:.
  8. For me, weight loss is about 80% what I'm putting in my mouth and about 20% exercise. That said, when I do Shred, I add another cardio workout to go with it. Sometimes I will go straight to the elliptical for an extra 20-30 minutes, sometimes, I do cardio later in the day. I wear a heart rate monitor when I workout, I "need" to see at least 300 calories burned, I only burn 150-200 doing Shred.
  9. I prefer beer (having a pale ale), DH likes Mike's :D.
  10. I'm a huge fan of Fiestaware, I have 8 white place settings and some colored plates and bowls. It is pretty heavy, if you want to feel it, they have it at Macy's and Kohls. When Macy's is having a good sale, their prices are very competitive, that's where I bought my sets. I have ordered individual plates and bowls from Amazon.
  11. I would use all of it. I would keep in mind to use the cheese pretty quickly (in the next week or so) and I would probably pop the Parmesan in the freezer (I usually keep shredded Parm in the freezer anyway). I would try to make sure the eggs get used in a dish where they are thoroughly cooked.
  12. I created an account last year. I made up a school name. I think when it got to the step where they said they could not verify my school, I had to call them or they had to call me??? It was a little complicated, but I had an account within a few days.
  13. I did laugh  when I first read that but then I was :001_huh:, just speechless at the stupidity. I'm not entirely surprised though because I taught middle school and high school and I've seen the craziness that comes down from the "experts".
  14. I'm happy that you all had a great time! We had a 50th anniversary party 10 years ago for my parents and it was wonderful. They are both gone now so it seems all the more special.
  15. I didn't vote because it's hard for me to tell someone else what to do in this kind of situation but I thought I would share my experience. My Mom passed away on Mother's Day. I chose to not take my kids to the funeral (I was able to leave them with MIL). I didn't want to take them to the Mass and out to the cemetery. Ideally, I would have liked to had them there just for the lunch after the service but we didn't have anywhere close for them to stay until that time. I don't think there is anything wrong with taking small kids to funerals. I went to DOZENS as a child, but they were not people I was close to.
  16. The location of the pain sounds A LOT like gallbladder. The gallbladder can go bad rapidly. My BIL (an MD, so he knows the symptoms) had no problems with his gb until a Saturday night when he got severe stomach pains and his wife took him to the ER. They could see on an ultrasound that the gb was inflamed, by the time they removed it on Tuesday, it was full of gangrene!
  17. My children are tiny (I'm barely 5'0"), I'm quite certain they will both be in boosters until they are 11 or 12.
  18. I would guess that it could be stress/seperation anxiety since both times it happened you had left her somewhere else. I hope she feels better.:001_smile:
