  1. Yes, it would be grounds for losing your license.
  2. It was a huge breach of ethics and foster parent confidentiality for that foster dad to be saying anything. I'm shocked and disgusted by this.
  3. I can't stand it that disability insurance (medicaid) won't help with things like this. In our state there is no dental coverage for disability over age 21. It's absurd and wrong. I hope you are able to get a decent solution in place for her so she can enjoy her wedding.
  4. Yes. I love my in-laws. I really do. They are people I go to for help/advice and they are my family. I would feel weird calling them mom & dad but it doesn't mean we are less close than those who do. Also, I don't think it's common to call in-laws mom & dad here in the Northeast.
  5. Is her soon to be husband able to help or does he have good insurance that she could access?
  6. I did end up with sole a few years ago and we did homeschool last year. DS will be going back to high school this fall, but I'm ok with it.
  7. I'm glad. My ex never allowed me to homeschool DS. It would have been life changing for him I think. I'm glad you were able to keep him home with you.
  8. Did he end up going to public straight through? Or did he do online school?
  9. I use a Gillette Mach 3 turbo razor. It works, I don't cut myself, and the women's razors always seemed inferior to me - too much aloe-y stuff around them or something.
  10. Honestly, no fish is happy or ok in a tiny bowl. They need a tank they can swim around in even if it's not a giant one.
  11. Oh I'm so sorry Jenny. I will pray that there are good treatment options and you don't have to wait too long to see specialists.
  12. I'm so sorry Mama. Once you've had a child who has had suicidal ideation or attempts, you are never the same. You will always worry...your thoughts will always go there when things go wrong. I know the fear and it's paralyzing. I'm glad you were able to get her some help and some food - today is another day to get things sorted out. Try to breathe and take care of you too. *hugs*
  13. I think the books are sort of a separate entity.
  14. If I agree with the politics, I will buy and support them. If I don't, I will stop buying.
  15. I had a golf ball-sized lump removed during my pregnancy when I was 24. It turned out to be a fibroadenoma. I have a 'larger than you'd expect' scar from it and now have been told I have lumpy, cystic, dense breasts so get called back every time for a second mammogram. As it is, I go every 6 months. I'm 40, no family history of cancer.
  16. This sounds a lot like some symptoms (and doctor responses) we have had for my 16 year old DS. We have a 24 hour EEG scheduled for 8/12.
  17. 1995 - my mom called me on it in class my junior year of high school with the OJ verdict. I was devastated.
