  1. I just saw this thread this morning. I hope everything goes smoothly during the interview. As a fellow introvert, I would be a nervous wreck. Good Luck!
  2. Instead of bed, I have to go and drag my kids out the the chicken coop. I would have never dreamed that chickens could be so distracting when we got them. We are are tired of school and will be completely finished next Friday. I really just want to plan for next year. I wish that the Memoria Press catalog didn't look so appealing. Hope everyone has a productive day :)
  3. My kids always go outside and play with our chickens for much longer than I intend. I often ask myself, "Can giving chicken baths count for science today?" I think we might try to incubate some this summer.
  4. I don't know if anyone has posted this, but I was just looking around their website and noticed this. It appears that you don't have to enroll to take the classes.
  5. Congratulations to your daughter! I, too, remember your first post. Thanks so much for sharing the update.
  6. That is awesome!! My dd took the test, too, but her scores have not yet posted. I am so anxious to get her scores!!
  7. I just read my new one cover to cover. I get so tempted, but I have so much curriculum that I can't justify buying anything. I may need to just throw it immediately in the trash, too.
  8. That's wonderful! I just checked for my dd's and they weren't up yet.
  9. Just to let you know, Mrs. Serbicki records the live classes, so the students can listen to them if they miss the discussion. Attending the live classes is not required. Both of my dds are taking her AP English classes this year and really like her (and the classes.) My dd16 will be taking her AP Lit class next year because she liked her AP Eng Comp class so well.
  10. My dd improved on her science test prep after watching the videos that regentrude posted. I have the practice exam he uses if it isn't still posted.
  11. So, I read Fit Day and thought to myself, "I hope her day gets better. No fits here yet."
  12. My kids love it when a Rainbow Resource box arrives. I always have to wait until they are done browsing through it before I can enjoy the new stuff. Don't feel sick about it. New curriculum is very exciting! Enjoy your huge box when it arrives.
  13. I think it is unbelievable that they were suspended.
  14. Don't feel bad. I KNOW I couldn't do it from what you described. Makes me anxious just thinking about it.
  15. My dd is almost finished with Derek Owens physics. It has worked really well for her.
  16. I'm so glad to hear everything has gone well. I hope the recovery is easy on both of you.
  17. This is exactly what is happening to me in the fall. I'm quite happy that this is my first time around and that I still have other children at home. But, these first 17 years feel like they have flown by when I look at my eldest. And yes, I am feeling so much older now that I can say I will have a college student.
  18. I think you've gotten good advice from the previous posters. I think I would also look into transferring your ds out of that class.
  19. I have to share my story with a situation similar to this. When I was about to have our second girl, we named her a name that my sister liked. At the time, my sister was engaged to be married and was saying that she didn’t want to have kids. So, we used the name. She and I get along wonderfully and have never had any real issues in our relationship, but she has told me a couple of times over the years about how it upset her that I used the name. 16 years later, she now has 3 boys and no intentions of having any more children. Of course, it doesn’t matter now that I used it, but if I could do it over, I would have probably chosen something different to avoid the hurt feelings on her part. Crazy, I think, that it bothered her that much.
  20. So incredibily sad. Praying for Kay and her family.
