Tracy in Ky
It is in progress, but I thought I would post a picture of it. I think the deep eggplant colors look nice with the beiges. I'll hand quilt it once I get the top finished...
HollyinNNV
I love it! It is very beautiful! You are doing a fantastic job. Quilts are a wonderful thing. My kids have the quilts I made them while pregnant and treasure them. I'm sure someone will treasure the one you are making. Holly

Tracy in Ky
You all are sweet! It is very easy--I cut and pieced that in one day using this book... http://www.amazon.com/Make-Quilt-Day-Cabin-Pattern/dp/0922705984/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1230604185&sr=8-1 Edited December 30, 2008 by Tracy in Ky

kalanamak
That is beautiful. When my mother died, I asked for her first quilt. I remember visiting when she was working on it. She went on to make many, many more, but I have this one to go pat whenever I feel like it!

My mom died about 4 years ago, and her things are very special to me. She taught me how to quilt. She was a quilt teacher and did beautiful work. Terri NS
Really nice. MY dd wants to learn to quilt so we're planning a mini quilt project this month. I've never quilted before so I guess we'll both learn. Thanks for the book link.
mazakaal
It's beautiful! I'm in the middle of three quilts right now. I've been in the middle of three quilts for years. The first priority is the 'baby' quilt for ds who is nearly 5. Fortunately it's big enough that he will still be able to use it if I can manage to finish it any time soon. Nicole M
When I first read your post last night, I was all in a dither about that Virginity Pledge discussion. So, at first glance, I read your subject line as Picture of a Guilt that I am making... I was so confused! And so delighted when I saw you beautiful Quilt! Lovely. Tammyla
It's beautiful~ I love the colors. We are going to try our hands at English paper piecing here this winter. I'm nervous and excited to get started. It is in progress, but I thought I would post a picture of it. I think the deep eggplant colors look nice with the beiges. I'll hand quilt it once I get the top finished...

Tracy in Ky
"The acorn doesn't fall far from the oak." What a sweet, comforting thing to say. Thank you. My Mom is incredible. (Notice I said "is." I am certain she is more alive than she has ever been, being in the presence of her Christ. :) ) Your comment was very comforting. :grouphug:
TeacherZee
I love the colours you are using. They make a lovely contrast. Also I have a childish love for the logcabin pattern. I have been working on one for too long to remember, maybe 2009 will be the year I finish it :001_smile: I also prefer to hand quilt. My mum thinks I am certifiable (she has a fancy quilting machine :))
