Picture of a quilt that I am making...

Recommended Posts

That is beautiful.

When my mother died, I asked for her first quilt. I remember visiting when she was working on it. She went on to make many, many more, but I have this one to go pat whenever I feel like it!

Oh, don't you love having something like that of your mom's? My mom died about 4 years ago, and her things are very special to me.

She taught me how to quilt. She was a quilt teacher and did beautiful work.

It's beautiful! I'm in the middle of three quilts right now. I've been in the middle of three quilts for years. The first priority is the 'baby' quilt for ds who is nearly 5. Fortunately it's big enough that he will still be able to use it if I can manage to finish it any time soon.

It's beautiful~ I love the colors.

We are going to try our hands at English paper piecing here this winter. I'm nervous and excited to get started.

It is in progress, but I thought I would post a picture of it. I think the deep eggplant colors look nice with the beiges. I'll hand quilt it once I get the top finished...

I love the colours you are using. They make a lovely contrast. Also I have a childish love for the logcabin pattern. I have been working on one for too long to remember, maybe 2009 will be the year I finish it :001_smile:

I also prefer to hand quilt. My mum thinks I am certifiable (she has a fancy quilting machine :))

He will still love it, no matter how big he is. :grouphug:

I LOVE handquilting. It is my favorite part of quilting. I find it so relaxing and therapeutic!
