Is there a club or need for a club on this forum - parents supporting young adults with mental health issues

I'm comfortable with PM's if you would like support. Mine have a clutch of diagnoses and we have been through the hospital system with one.

@wintermom Sent you a DM. We are living through this now and I have posted a few times about the ups and downs. People here are amazing and there have been a handful of folks that reached out to me who have dealt with similar issues and it's been incredibly helpful.

I can see where a club with the expectation of checking in frequently may not be necessary. This life seems to have its ups and sudden, dramatic downs. It's at that point where it's nice to have someone to reach out to, however the toll this plays on a parent over time is what I wonder about. I've faced a sudden, horrible trigger when I was away from home at a conference. Totally unexpected to me. There's definitely stress being shoved down deep so that I can be strong to support the more needy.

I'm sorry you are going through this. I'd be happy to dm or join a club, having mostly come out the other side. I'm not convinced we did things right, but we came through.

I think there are many of us who could benefit from such a club. 
We've recently had a huge issue, which has calmed down, and a club would have been helpful.

I think I may have been the last person to ask about this, and I was added to it. Clearly it is not very active. It was helpful to me at the time--if for no other reason to know I wasn't alone.

If the club includes teenagers still in high school, I would be interested in joining.  Is it closed? Private?
