Jean in Newcastle
So my usual touchscreen finger isn't moving my cursor. It's just not responding. But my other hand / fingers are working just fine so it's not the technology. Perhaps not coincidentally the finger/hand not working is the one I'm having nerve problems with this morning. Anyone ever hear of anything like this? (Google is not being my friend on this.)
TravelingChris
I have problems when my fingers are cold. I have Raynaud's.
Katy
I have this problem when I’ve been washing my hands too often. Usually rubbing lotion on & restarting my device fixes it.
Spryte
FIL’s fingers don’t work on touchscreens at all. He has nerve issues as well. But — none of his fingers work these days, so possibly unrelated.

Emba
When my hands are cold and dry I sometimes have difficulty with touch screens. It’s especially frustrating when the phone is ringing and I want to answer a call and can’t.

J-rap
I always have problems in the winter when the weather is so dry. And some fingers' prints are set more deeply in my skin and others aren't. I don't think that means anything. My thumb prints seems to be the deepest set and those always work in the winter even when my other fingers aren't recognized. Once the weather is hot and humid, my other fingers work fine! One thing I've been meaning to do is to re-scan my finger prints in the winter. Maybe my iPhone memorized my summer fingerprints but not my winter fingerprints.

Yes, this is why I don't have it set for fingerprints. Nor will I do it for my face either. My face can swell so no.
