mmasc
We like Sum Swamp. It’s too easy for my 9 and 12 year old but they still actually enjoy playing it. It’s fast, easy to learn, and helps with numbers. I think Uno would be good for that age group too. No parts, easy to learn, and fun. :) And if you lose a card or two, no big deal!

They do have Uno - I should get that out next time. I've not heard of the other one - can't go wrong with donuts :) Gonuts for Donuts. Love Letter or it's spin-offs Lost Legacy I don't know either of these games - thanks for the suggestions!

Uno was what we played a lot at swim team meets in that age group. My kids enjoy Skip-Bo a lot too You might also have 6 dice, the rules for Farkle and some paper and pencil. Yahtzee Monopoly Empire (though it swerves into the "little pieces" territory) Fluxx -- particularly Family Fluxx Edited February 15, 2018 by vonfirmath

happypamama
In addition to those mentioned, Set. Chomp -- great for non-readers Uno Moose in the House I'd say Pyramix, because it's a lot of fun, but it has a lot of pieces with the dice. But it's a pyramid shape, which is a fun novelty.

Rosika
Is Racko/Rack-o still around? Really, at this age my kids loved plain old card games - rummy, poker, gin, all the old people standards!
