Today it was a glass of orange juice then out the door to start our errand packed day planning for the B.E.S.T. Robotics competition. 2) What kind of car do you drive? Toyota Sienna (10 years old and doing great!) 3) What's your weather today? Chilly start (28) but it hit 65 today..warming up through the weekend.. 4) Are your toenails painted? If so, what color? Maybe once in my lifetime, not now. 5) Read any good books lately? What was it? Apologia Earth Science 6) Is your bed made? It was before we climbed into it. 7) What's for dinner? It was sausage/white cheddar in a roux with maccaroni and veggies on the side.. 8) Name something your dc have done today that made you smile. My youngest daughter asked if she could start wearing camisoles (seems as though 1/2 of one of her 'buds' is starting to bloom) 9) What color is your bathroom rug? It was cream, but after too much bleach in the washer, I'd say off white. 10) Who's your favorite artist? Easily, Joseph Wright of Derby (English painter, I fell silent and couldn't stand when I saw his painting of the bird in the glass...the illumination of all the observer's faces is amazing..you'll have to google his work..it's incredible) 11) What's your favorite morning beverage? Whatever is handy....usually skim milk in a bowl of whole grain cereal. 12) Do you have any toys from when you were a child? Not with me, but at my parents' home..Alberta Ella those ugly er' unique original Cabbage Patch dolls, and a Scarlet O'Hara doll my husband gave me when we were dating..I never was a big fan of the movie but he thought I would like it because my name is from the movie. 13) Do you collect anything? Horse manure out in the pasture...I think it collects me. I am a nut and have bought extra stamps for 15 years...they're all in a pile and I don't know what to do with them, those adhesive stamps are all different sizes and no books work with all of them.. 14) Are you looking forward to the holidays? (whichever days you celebrate) Some of them, too busy right now, Thanksgiving will be sad, many members ill or have died this year, I always look forward to Christmas, even if we have had a very rough financial year (two mortgages for 17 months)..this holiday puts it all into perspective...we could not buy a thing and still be amazingly blessed. 15) What are you wearing today? Being completely honest, went to bed with a T-shirt on..realized the puppy had just drank a quart of water, needed to get up from my slumber and take her out (chilly) so couldn't find a blanket to wrap around me, so I put my jacket over my T-shirt, tied my husband's jacket around my waist and headed outside in Crocks to walk the dogs...the cold completely woke me up and here I am typing nonsense until I can get that sleeping urge again....I'm not winning any fashion awards right now. My littlest wants to dress up like "Rock Monster" from the VT movie. 9) What color is your bathroom rug? Duck 10) Who's your favorite artist? Um. My 9 yo? 11) What's your favorite morning beverage? Sigh. Water. Sweet tea. both. 12) Do you have any toys from when you were a child? Yes, actually! A pull-along xylophone, some metal play cooking pots, a doll cradle, and the dollhouse I got when I was 9 . 13) Do you collect anything? The least healthy breakfast we eat around here is cold granola cereal. (ETA: Come to think of it, when we have panckes or French toast or some such with bacon, that's actually less healthy. Not that it matters, since this is the 107th reply, but...LOL) 2) What kind of car do you drive? A Suburban, unfortunately. I would love to downsize, but the truth is that when we all drive/ride together, we use up all the space. I hope to buy something smaller soon for use when I'm on my own or just with a couple of boys. 3) What's your weather today? October for the most part has been filled with lovely autumn weather: cool but not cold (high in the mid- to upper-50s, lows in the low 40s); sun & clouds mix. That was today's weather. 4) Are your toenails painted? If so, what color? Yes, red ~ not too bold a red, though. 5) Read any good books lately? What was it? I've got a few good things going on. Hannah Coulter by Wendell Berry, Mayflower by Nathaniel Philbrick, and rereading portions of Pollan's Omnivore's Dilemma. 6) Is your bed made? If I'm not in it, my bed is made. 7) What's for dinner? Skip/run (this was the youngest two) along the sidewalk, laughing and being merry, trying to not step on the cracks so they wouldn't break my back.:) 9) What color is your bathroom rug? Bathroom rug? Ranges from Caravaggio, to Bruegel the Elder to Vermeer to Joan Miro to Winslow Homer to Dale Chihuly's glass art...I'm all over the place. Having just been in Rome recently, Caravaggio is my current #1. 11) What's your favorite morning beverage? The first thing I drink in the a.m. is a glass of water. Then a little bit of juice. And then, sometimes, a cafe latte (decaf). 12) Do you have any toys from when you were a child? No. 13) Do you collect anything? No. I'm an anti-pack rat. I do get a new Swatch every time I go to Switzerland, and I never get rid of my "old" ones. But it doesn't qualify as a collection. 14) Are you looking forward to the holidays? (whichever days you celebrate) Yes, I enjoy the Advent and Christmas seasons. 15) What are you wearing today? Tan jeans and a thin, brown/tan/orange long-sleeve sweater with a padded, orange jacket when I was outside.
