Who's going to tackle Wednesday with me?

Recommended Posts

I'm up because I am supposed to be working and can't sleep anyway ... it's not looking like a banner day so far.

  • Work in the wee hours.
  • Sleep, I hope.
  • Kids up & off to school bus with chips for school picnic.
  • Clean out critter cage.
  • Take out garbage.
  • Work.
  • A little reading, exercise, housework.
  • Pay some bills, fill out some forms.
  • Review kids' homework.
  • Kid to sample Sylvan math class.  Work at Sylvan?
  • Kid to gymnastics.  Work at gym, if I am not caught up by then.  Otherwise walk.
  • Kids to bed.
  • Work.  Or just sleep.

I was a bad mom this morning.  The kids took forever to get up & ready, so they ran to the bus without having breakfast.  Today is their school picnic, so somehow that made it much harder to decide what to wear, at the last minute of course.  :P  If I were planning to spend the day getting muddy, it would take me less than one second to decide on clothes ....

Well I guess they are going to be crabby up to lunch time ....

Actually last night was really sucky.  I made a poor decision - let them go shopping with an auntie until rather late - one kid got into a tiff with the auntie and came home crying ... not auntie's fault, but I should really have known better than to allow the outing.  So on top of that, they didn't get as much sleep as they should have, and now they are hungry too.  F minus minus minus minus for me.

But - only 4 more mornings of school.  :P  If I make it to next Tuesday, I'm gonna whoop and holler.

Terribly worried about my bestie. ashats caused a condition she'll have for life. No cure. Very much want to go on a rant about healthcare, good doctor caving in, crappie crappie people and hello?! First do no harm. :(

moocow, sorry about your friend!

The haircut is done and got some groceries while out. Ds needs to finish his standardized testing. He just finished a punctuation section and is upset. I'm giving him a break.

Thinking of you, Melissa. Hugs for all the worries.

I am at Starbucks answering emails and reading the paper while the kids swim. Later, I need to test drive a car and clean up the house before the next round of practices.

To do:

Drive home

Clean kitchen and do chores

Test out car (and make decision, I hope)

Laundry and house stuff

In for practices

Hopefully, dh has dinner plans!

Have a great day!

Dd is still submitting her driver's license photo.

She's downloaded her student ID photo.

She's answered 400 questions about how she doesn't do drugs for ROTC.

We have her religious stuff filled out.

She can't finish her medical until tomorrow, but she's submitted the form saying it's coming.

She's submitted her transcript requests.

She still needs to submit her "I want to be in the cavalry" form.

I have the trash out.

Dd is off lifeguarding.

She has a meeting in an hour to give Scout swim tests and then needs to coach swim team.

I've dealt with moms needing to get physicals done for camp.

Older dd is off running a loader for the county.

Dh is off running a dump truck.

Ds is off writing code to synchronize all the students at Mines schedules.

One dd is probably off playing the violin, and one is flying a helicopter!

I finished a quilt and washed it.

Just a normal Wednesday afternoon...

Margaret, I bought one of your dd's violin bags as a birthday gift for my dd. It is gorgeous and she loves it!

human care done

pet care done - though I have a hole in my heart when doing pet care right now.

medical care done

kitchen cleaned

lunch for everyone - which means packing lunch for ds and dh as well as fixing lunch for dd and myself.

ds to college and then to work

got dd's lab test results.  Got miffed at receptionist who insisted on release forms for getting my own dd's labs - something that no one else has ever asked me for in the 18 years we've been going to them.  (I know - it's a little thing.)

OK - now to work on the CPap

Bittersweet decision made during therapy tonight.

Youngest will go back to public school in August. ....

I'm just not able to give him what he needs anymore. If I had a do-over, I'd have put him back in last year. :(

It's going to be a huge adjustment, especially him.

Sigh.

Did not send out the work I was supposed to send out today.

I did get a ton of work done - I was unusually productive.  But somehow I cannot concentrate on the most important things.  Also, I could not find a file I needed.  I could swear I had seen it and spent quite a bit of time searching for it.  I found many other similar files, but not the one I needed to write about today.  I am an idiot for not realizing it until so late.

My kid was not pleased to learn we were going to sample a math class.  The look on her face when she was asked to sit with the teacher.  :P  But she liked it and wants to continue.  It seems a good fit for her.

So now I am supposed to be finishing those two reports I promised today.  I'm so sick of this.  Why can't I just turn on the old BS generator and get it done?
