IfIOnly
I finally got my recipe notebook organized (actually bought another because the old one was calling apart) with labeled dividers and put my recipes in the right categories. That was a job. There were so many recipes to sort. Now I'd like to pepper my recipe book with some inspiring sayings. Do you have a favorite? Cooking is a chore to me, but my kids really appreciate it when I put a bit of heart into it. I swear I think my kids love language is FOOD. I found a quote today. It's funny, not exactly heart warming. “The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later, you’re hungry again.†- American stand up George Miller :P Edited April 17, 2017 by ifIonlyhadabrain

Tina
I use my recipe notebooks all the time! I used the Circa system for the ease of moving them around and little need for those circle repair pieces. lol

IfIOnly
Thought I'd share my favorites from looking online tonight. Sappy: Cooking is love made edible. An apron is just a cape on backwards. - I have worn an apron just a couple of times in my life. Not my thing, but still, I like this! A home-cooked meal is a labor of love. The are of cooking is among the most intimate things that we can do for another. Charlie Trotter Cooking and shopping for food brings rhythm and meaning to our lives. Alice Waters Nutrition/Instruction: I don't believe in low-fat cooking. Nigella Lawson Wait until the brownies are completely cool. -So hard to do, but I agree. Let food be thy medicine and medicine be they food. Hippocrates Julia Child: No one is born a great cook, one learns by doing. Funnies: I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food." W.C. Fields Life is too short. Lick the bowl. I kiss better than I cook. And my favorite is, wait for it, the winner is, "I cook, you clean." :hurray:
