I have very real fears about the national security of the country as well as the safety of my family in the states. Racists have regained legitimacy. Shred Betty
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. Great quote bibiche, thanks for reminding me how important it is to stand up to Hate. so next time I see the Wolfpack of posters "coming for the so called Hateful Racist Xenophobes ,". I'll try to remember the importance of history and this quote. I have gotten so much good for me, my brand new homeschool, and my daughter from being on these boards and from the entire hive. It will be a real tragedy if that Wolfpack of posters succeeds in making me leave the boards again out of shame and anger. Calling someone a hateful racist xenophobe no matter if you think you are right or not, justified or not, is NOT ok. You want to call a KKK member that, be my guest. I would agree with you :)

TravelingChris
I am having a hard time believing it. They got predictions wrong. My state wasn't the most red state. At least one other voted much more heavily for Trump. Well polling is fraught with problems and why we all still should vote. I am very happy that my state voted yes for protecting state park funding.

I have no problem at all calling that out. And people who voted with him are complicit. Hatred MUST be named. I don't usually post on chat, but, I need to get something off my chest. This isn't a small minority voting for trump. This isn't just old people and nasty unliked people. This is a majority of your country voting for him. Do you truly believe every single one of those people, the majority of your country, voted out of hatred and racism? If you do, then you have a very depressing 4 years ahead, surrounded by a majority of people who you believe are hateful racists. Or, perhaps, there are other reasons and beliefs at play, and that some people voted for trump who don't agree with every racist or hateful thing he said. It's possible to vote for someone and still dislike half of what they said, it seems to me people aren't exactly fans of Hillary either. I just can't get over the number of people who are calling the MAJORITY OF THEIR COUNTRY (if he wins, obviously) racist and hateful and xenophobes. This isn't a small group of bad people we're talking about here.

When a politician campaigns on KKK fodder and uses blatantly anti-Semitic "closing argument" ad, what does it say when people vote for him? People are genuinely scared for their wellbeing, and they now know most of the country doesn't have their backs.
