Looking for a unique magazine subscription for lively elderly couple.

Ha, that's my parents!  They're 88/87, and have requested no more "things" for Christmas.  I thought a magazine subscription might be nice.  They're both very bright, big readers (both classics and mysteries), enjoy history, travel, and current events (though nothing too heavy or depressing!).

Any ideas for them?

There is a magazine called "Reminisce" that features remembrances of the 30s, 40s, etc.  - I always read it at the doctor's office. Bet they would get a kick out of it. Here's a link:

Thanks!  That's right, I remember that one too at the doctor's office.  I also remember a similar one I used to love as a kid (I even strangely asked for a subscription to it for my birthday when I was about 10!).  It was called Good Old Days.  I don't see that one around anymore!

Biblical Archeological Review magazine is pretty interesting, if they would like that sort of stuff. They are always writing about latest finds and places of interest, and have a fun feature that shows an object and asks you to identify it (it's just a little fun thing in the magazine). It's not as academic hoity-toity as it sounds.

Thanks! I just ordered this for my dad-only $10! He will love it.

What a fascinating magazine!  I'd kind of like to get that one for myself...
