melissel
I was so afraid to look for an update, but what great news! Isn't it amazing what bodies can withstand? Thank goodness he's doing so well :grouphug:
Mom-ninja.
He's not coming home today. She wants to keep him over the weekend. He's CBC has improved but enzymes are up. He is refusing to eat or drink since yesterday afternoon. She has put him back on IV fluids to help keep the enzymes flushing out so the levels do not become toxic. We are skipping lessons and going to go see him.

Jennifer3141
Well, how was he? Did he rebound when he saw his family? :grouphug: Jen
Mom-ninja.
After 7 days in the animal hospital he can come home. All his blood work came back looking good. He's been eating ok. He could be eating better but he's eating enough. They gave him a soak in a warm bath and then took him outside. He was able to stand a bit with some support and he was trying to move his back legs. Both vets feel that he should be able to move his legs better once he heals in time. We don't know if he will regain vision in his eye. Least of my concerns really. He will need a lot of help to go outside. So we'll have to think of how I can care for him when DH is at work. Thankfully, DH only drives to work 3 days a week and works from home on Mondays and Fridays. He has a long recovery in front of him and there's a chance that a complication may arise. For now we are still hoping that all he needs is time and a lot of TLC.
