Guest
She has her reward for a life of faithfulness to Christ :). Condolences to her family who is missing her in the meantime, though.
Liz CA
She was an incredible lady. I'll have to re-read "Through Gates of Splendor."
Garga
Oh! Today, I got an email from church saying that a woman in our church whose last name was Elliot died. It made me think of Elizabeth Elliot and I thought, "I wonder how old Elizabeth Elliot is and how long she'll be with us." One of those strange coincidences.
PrincessMommy
May she rest with the righteous. Memory Eternal! I read a couple of her earlier books.
purplejackmama
On some of my darkest days, the only light I could find was from the wisdom of Elisabeth Elliot. Thankful for her life well lived and the truth she knew.

plansrme
Not five minutes before I saw this thread, I was telling someone one of her quotes that has most resonated with me since I first read it when I was in college: "I was asking God, 'Give me that for which I long,' and He was saying, 'I must teach you to long for something better.'" Or something like that. She had an amazing life story.
Jean in Newcastle
I just called to tell my mom. It was interesting to hear her stories. Elizabeth Elliot was younger than my mom but ahead of her a year in college.
