I need to reorganize the littles' bedroom.  It looked beautiful when I first did it, but they can't maintain it.  Now you cannot walk in half of the room...literally.  I'm planning on organizing their toys into four bins that we have and their stuffed animals into four fabric boxes.  Then I'm removing three of the bins and three of the boxes from their room, letting them have only one each at a time.  DS's Play Mobile and DD's princess castle and princesses will stay in the room full time (for the time being).

Once that is done, I'll be able to put laundry away.

And do school.

Dd1 still sick so

- call dd1's school to reprt her absent- done

- make dd1 doc appointment ASAP, dd2 one for later this week or next, she needs to have her newborn screening redone since the first was "inconclusive"- waiting for call back for dd2

- Dd1 doctor at 1130- done ear infection with the beginnings of bronchitis and a sinus infection

- dishes

- fold and put away one load of laundry

- tidy house

- school research

- dinner

- bedtime routine

Grr dh brings home more germs from work then dd1 has from school or me while working at a gas station. He works with 5-7 people daily, and I swear one of them has something to pass every week. I really hate seeing dd1 sick and I really don't need these germs floating around with dd2,

:grouphug: Jean--How are you feeling? Has your BP come down?

Today is my birthday and a trip to World Market with my Monday tea friends. We celebrated my birthday last night. I attempted to make myself low-carb brownies, but they were sorely lacking. We played games, and I had a scavenger hunt to find my gifts around the house.

The kids will need to do some school today, though. I'll be doing that late this afternoon and evening.

Good Morning!

Jean, I hope your new doctor will be able to get you feeling better very soon.

Melissa, dh works in a hospital with lots of people and germs...I make him shower as soon as he comes home.  Work clothing in the basement in the basket away from all of us.    I'm sorry your dd is sick and hope she will feel better soon.

Today:  new week for me and a new schedule.  i've gotten lazy about sleeping in.  I'm on a new schedule up by 7am.  I get so much more accomplished by getting up early.

  • vacuum first floor
  • school--loads of algebra and grading other lessons that are complete in other classes
  • quiz ds for marine biology test
  • work on plans for next weeks classes
  • exercise 30 minutes--run, walking
  • cook a yummy dinner

Hope you all have a great Monday!  :)

Morning gals! Sorry I didn't show up yesterday. I don't know why.

Today is Monday. I hate Mondays. We have a lot of school to get done, we have to have the house picked up for the cleaners.... it's just a hard day to get through and there's pressure to have it all done and be out of the house by 3:30,

So, today...

** school

** get DS to practice his guitar. He just started lessons, so this practicing thing is going to be new to him.

** pick up house

** allergy shots

** dinner at my parents' house

Tress, you always make me feel so far behind, with your time difference, when you've already crossed so much off your list before I even post mine!  :w00t:

Sssssh, don't reveal my secret, I like my image of uber-tackler  , while only doing a medium amount of work.

When I look at your lists :svengo: or I read that Tammy is going to be even more productive by getting up earlier :svengo: (and I'm not even talking about Brandy's lists :w00t:) , I feel like a slug.

Good morning! Happy Birthday Amy!

Jean, I hope that today is a better day and your appointment goes well.

Melissa, I second the suggestion of Tammy that dh should shower as soon as he gets home.  We implemented that one bad sickness year when the kids were little and it really helped. Into the shower and then hug and kiss and play.

We had fog on our drive in and back. So unusual here and it made for a slow and slick drive. I hope the sun makes it out by this afternoon.

To do:

school for ds3, dd2

oversee teens--have ds1 send thank you notes

oversee chores

figure out something for dinner

update calendar

school administration

parent meeting for Aikido

some organization in my study

PM pratice: swimming, aikido, water polo

Habits:

green smoothie

write 30 minutes

art/craft 30 minutes

Good day people!  Jean, praying for your appointment.

Happy Birthday Amy!

I don't feel like tackling anything.  I am usually a pretty content and happy individual but there is so much going on right now.  I kind of wish I could hide under my bed and pretend it is all ok.

My twin is mad at me because I don't want a big 50th birthday party next year and she is pissed that I would prefer to celebrate quietly or not at all.

Our eldest is getting worse, she is having difficulty walking now.  New meds have been on board for two weeks.  Looking into taking her to Maryland to a Lyme specialist, just don't know what else to do at this point.  I emailed for an initial consulation fee.  It is an 8 hour drive from here.  He doesn't take insurance.

Cable guy just left with no answers as to why our internet keeps going out, he says everything looks fine.  They are going to monitor our MAC address and see if they can figure it out.

At a loss with youngest and school.  She hates it.  Thinkwell is not going well for her at all and now she just thinks she is stupid even though she has straight A's in all her other subjects including her co-op IEW course.  Feeling like a failure with her and homeschool right now.

Cat is down another pound since the 13th, I am losing him.  He is completely skeletal.  My heart hurts.

Still need to fill the woodbox but I've done all the other regular morning chores.  I do need to figure out supper.  And I need to switch out frozen water with thawed one for the chickens.

Emailed my biology students with revised syllabus due to all the weather cancellations.

Plus side:

at funeral last week for dh's 103 year old grandmother, mil gave me my birthday present when we were leaving.  10th Anniversary Firefly Compendium!!!!!!!!!!  It is gorgeous.

Tennis elbow and soreness from slipping on the ice last Thurdsday are on the mend, so that's good.

Found a high calorie tube of stuff for cat to help get some calories into him.  Nutrical.  Expensive but for peace of mind, priceless.

For the moment, the intenet is working, hope it stays on til math is over for the day.

Slept in this morning, waking up only 10 minutes before my shift started...I live 20 minutes from work.  Yikes.  Got ds15 up, and for once he moved it, and I was only 15 minutes late for work.  Finished that shift, spent an hour on admin work, went to court.  The paperwork was not filed yet so, his case was put off until march 3 BUT he does not have to be there that day since he completed the terms.  That will just be the day when they formally discharge him and remove all charges.  We happen to be skiing that day so I am glad he doesn't need to be there.  When we got home I cleaned the stove exhaust fan screen, it was nasty, so glad it is clear again.

Now home and trying to get the kids focused on school which is not going very well.

Well, it's noon! Amy, Happy Birthday. Sorry I didn't get that in earlier. And in honor of the Hive, I am sending you telepathically, a cream filled chocolate cupcake delivered by a handsome snowboarder in a kilt. I hope you like chocolate. And I hope you like cupcakes. And I hope you like handsome young snowboarders in kilts. (Geez, I've been watching too much Olympics).

Anyhow, school is mostly done. Kids are watching their science video. Dd3 is screaming because she doesn't want to take a nap. And I have a huge mess in the kitchen to clean up!

Amy - Not really well (for a complete update look at my prayer thread on the Chat board).  My bp is rapidly increasing right now (it does that every evening for some reason we can't determine).  I am playing with my bp medicine, which technically I shouldn't do, but since I'm running out of options, I'm going to do it anyway.
