Can we discuss socks?

I usually like nice, thick socks. The kind you really have to wriggle to get on. Sometimes, I'm in the mood for a lighter sock. Something that won't make me sweat. A plain, light, vanilla sock. Personally, I think I may move to knee socks in bright colors. Something to spice it up.

I might recommend these socks to my husband:

Don't you think that would spice up the sock drawer nicely?

With all the site crashing today I wonder if John has dealing with socks in his backend server...I mean he must be feeling the pain as a result of all of this....John don't you wish you just left things well enough alone before?

btw don't ban me, it was a dare...I am prone to caving to peer pressure...and socks

Better yet - where does everyone wear their socks? I have tried wearing socks in many locations, but absolutely do not enjoy showering with socks. I would think socks on the beach would be uncomfortable, as well.

too much sand filling the socks would cause too much irritation I would think. I wore socks in the shower once, it made it slippery...and I fell. splits in the shower are not my version of fun.

This is a timely subject for me. I'm glad Wendilouwho brought it up. I have a dear friend and she has confided in me that she is afraid she's knitting too many socks. Several pairs a day, sometimes more. Should I suggest she speak to someone? A member of the clergy perhaps?
