Mom28kds
My DD is turning 7 in a week. I don't want to always get Barbies. She has about 10 already and I really want other ideas for her. She has Little Pet shop already also. I have searched Amazon, Target and Walmart to try to get ideas. The Hive has some great ideas so I was hoping you could give me some for a little girl. I need to have ideas for birthday and Christmas.
ChristineW
:bigear: Looking for ideas as well. DD is being impossible this year. She only wants 2 things and they're already done. I have nothing to suggest to the grandparents, and her same age cousin will request crap that I don't want and won't be able to get rid of. Jaz
My dd loved costumes at that age (she still does :001_smile: ).

Susan in TN
Beautiful fabrics - remnants are a great place to start.
sweetbasil
My girls love Lego Friends. :) Other ideas: American Girl dolls, RC cars, art supplies, playmobil, Breyer horses, etc.
lea_lpz
Pricey, but an Ameican Girl doll would be on my list for a seven year old. Craft kits too. Oh, or easy bake oven.
ladydusk
When my daughter turned 7, we got her ears pierced. For Christmas that year we got her an inexpensive digital camera. She loved both!
Meriwether
handbells, Playmobil, audio books, board games Some things that I'm looking at for my kids for Christmas are sleds, new hats, stilts, legos, a doctor's kit (not a plastic one - a boxy black purse, real bandages, a real stethescope, etc), a contraptions set, good quality jump ropes, and books. Dmmetler
My 8 yr old (well, she'll be 8 next week) is getting a Pandora-like bracelet with beads that relate to her favorite things, her pets, and so on. It was pretty cheap-about $5 for the bracelet, and $1 per charm.
extendedforecast
When my daughters were that age, they loved Polly Pocket. The other day I saw a commercial that was advertising Polly sets that adhere to the wall using command strips. It looked really cool, and I am even considering buying some for my niece who is turning seven in a few weeks.
redheadmom
Let me think...what was I cleaning up at that age, lol. I would agree with Polly Pockets or Play mobile. We have lots of Play mobile and it is still popular. They have lots of different themes so you can find one she will like.
Mom28kds
Thanks for the great ideas. I do think I'm going to have Grandma do some Playmobil. I will give her a lego set for sure.

golfcartmama
My daughter is 7 and LOVES the new LEGO Friends sets. She also loves the American Girl dolls and other things mentioned, but LEGOs are topping the Christmas list this year after McKenna (American Girl doll), of course!
