  1. Here are a few we have liked recently: https://www.thecookierookie.com/melt-in-your-mouth-caesar-chicken/ https://www.chiselandfork.com/mongolian-pork/ https://www.blueapron.com/recipes/ancho-honey-chicken-fajitas-with-roasted-vegetables-avocado
  2. I would consider an iron infusion or a liquid supplement at those numbers. I take the Megafood Blood Builders and they have been the best for me in terms of bringing up my ferritin with the fewest side effects. I take a lot of Vit C as well to help my body absorb it.
  3. So while my hemoglobin was never low, my ferritin would drop into the teens. My Dr said she prefers ferritin above 40 because below that it can cause reactive problems in other lab work, plus I felt better and my hair stopped falling out. After a lot of experimenting, my favorite iron pill is MegaFood blood builders, plus I take extra Vit C. It has given me the best results with the fewest GI issues. I tried iron IV in the past, but it made me feel sick.
  4. Have you tried Queasy Drops? You can get them on Amazon. They work for pregnancy and chemo patients. Also Nauzene is good, but harder to find during Covid. CVS makes a generic.
  5. I just looked at a few organic websites and they had supply they could ship. I use Baby's Only for my youngest from about 3 to 24 months to supplement breastfeeding. It is more expensive, but they will ship you a case.
  6. Queasy Drops - are great for nausea. You can find them on Amazon, etc. I like electrolyte drinks like Body Armor to combat the dehydration from chemo. An electric blanket if they don't own one. Maybe a gift certificate for audio books or podcast to help pass the time and a good set of headphones.
  7. So my dd has both a bee venom allergy and alpha-gal (the tick borne allergy to mammal meat). Both of these can cause anaphylaxis. She has to be very careful with animal byproducts such as gelatin, glycerin, etc. She got the Pfizer vaccine a week ago and did good. She stayed there for 30 ninutes after the shot and then we watched her for the 8-12 hour window for alpha gal reaction. She did take her normal antihistamines the day of her shot.
  8. So early this spring my dd was diagnosed with asthma, IBS, and POTS within a few months. The GI issues were bad with spontaneous vomiting. This fall she was diagnosed with Alpga-Gal, the tick borne meat allergy. However, in addition to mammal meat, she has to avoid all mammal byproducts which are in everything. Eating meat triggers her anaphylaxis, but by products will trigger her GI issues or asthma. So she avoids tallow, whey, rennet, gelatin, etc. Additionally, by products are in lots of health products and medicine. So we watch for glycerin, lanolin, and magnesium stearate. It almost sounds like he has severe allergies and a blood disorder which could cause problems with clotting and his bone marrow. But those should be able to be diagnosed with various blood tests or possibly a bone marrow biopsy.
  9. In addition to changing out her pillows, my DS allergist had her take a nightly antihistamine. DS was waking up every morning very congested and recurring sinus infections. We had to try Claritin, Zyrtec, and finally settled on Allegra as the best one for her.
  10. So it looks like Alabama still has no cases. However, there are 2 cases on Redstone Arsenal. DH works there and someone showed him an email.
  11. DD was accepted to UAH last week and will study animation. After spending 12 months evaluating colleges this was a last minute change. But she got a merit scholarship which is nice.
  12. So I don't have any answers to the cause but have you tried Colgate Peroxyl? It is helps with mouth sores and ulcers. Maybe it will give her a little relief.
  13. So we do this every year when our options are available... I add up the total premium and out of pocket max to see which one is the cheapest overall. For your 2 examples the $500 a month one is around $480 a year cheaper overall. We always max out our deductible every year due to my health conditions. I basically only see specialists and take expensive medicine - lucky me. I wish healthcare were a more affordable option for everyone .
  14. I love https://www.myscenicdrives.com. I use it to plan our long RV road trips. You can adjust your daily drive time or mileage and it creates your stops. Plus you can calculate your gas costs.
