CupOCoffee Posted September 3, 2012 Share Posted September 3, 2012 My FIL has been air lifted to a University Hospital for an immediate cardiac cath. He took himself to the ER earlier today (well, with MIL) for shortness of breath and chest pains. EKG was abnormal, he was given nitro and it did nothing, gave him morphine (it helped some). They also have found blood clots in his lung and a mass in his stomach. And yes, this is the same ILs that said they wouldn't come visit us if we got cats ;) -- ROFL, they'be been here 3 times since we got them last week, and they love the kitties. Thanks in advance! CupOCoffee Posted September 3, 2012 Author Share Posted September 3, 2012 Just got an update on FIL. Cath is done. One artery 100% blocked, 2 others 85% blocked; they are talking bypass. He's on meds for the clots, and they said that the stomach mass is the least of their worries at the moment -- he does have mild-ish Crohns and they feel it's related to that.
